Zubair Baloch, son of Ghulam Fareed, a former chairman of the Baloch Students Council Bahawalpur and an MPhil graduate of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, was forcibly disappeared last night at approximately 1:30 AM by security forces, and alongside Plainclothes Intelligence Personnel from his hometown in Bhutta Colony, Dera Ghazi Khan.

This incident is part of a continuing pattern of targeting students and educated youth. HRCB has recorded at least 353 cases of students subjected to enforced disappearances between January 2025 and February 2026, marking a deeply alarming escalation.

We demand the immediate and safe release of Zubair Baloch and call for an end to the ongoing practice of enforced disappearances.

Hakim Majeed Baloch, Dawood Baloch, and Usman Baloch were forcibly disappeared on 2 November 2025.

Since that day their families have received no information about their fate. Months have passed and the silence from authorities continues.

This case reflects a wider pattern in Balochistan. Baloch students face systematic targeting. Young people who pursue education and awareness face enforced disappearance. This practice aims to silence knowledge and intimidate an entire generation.

Their families continue to wait for answers. Enforced disappearance is a serious human rights violation under international law. Authorities must end impunity, disclose their whereabouts, and ensure their safe and immediate release.

حکیم مجید بلوچ، داؤد بلوچ اور عثمان بلوچ کو 2 نومبر 2025 کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ کیا گیا۔

اس دن کے بعد سے آج تک ان کے خاندانوں کو ان کی قسمت کے بارے میں کوئی معلومات فراہم نہیں کی گئیں۔ کئی ماہ گزر چکے ہیں، مگر حکام کی جانب سے خاموشی بدستور جاری ہے۔

یہ واقعہ بلوچستان میں جاری ایک وسیع تر رجحان کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ بلوچ طلبہ کو منظم طریقے سے نشانہ بنایا جا رہا ہے۔ وہ نوجوان جو تعلیم حاصل کرنے اور شعور بیدار کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں، جبری گمشدگی کا شکار بنائے جا رہے ہیں۔
اس عمل کا مقصد علم کی آواز کو خاموش کرنا اور پوری ایک نسل کو خوفزدہ کرنا ہے۔

ان کے خاندان آج بھی جواب کے منتظر ہیں۔ جبری گمشدگی بین الاقوامی قانون کے تحت انسانی حقوق کی ایک سنگین خلاف ورزی ہے۔

حکام پر لازم ہے کہ وہ استثنا کی اس فضا کو ختم کریں، ان لاپتہ افراد کے بارے میں معلومات ظاہر کریں، اور ان کی محفوظ اور فوری رہائی کو یقینی بنائیں۔
