Offering up the opportunity to delist coins is not the best idea. I know the vote will only be used for consideration, but this promotes more hate within the crypto space. It’s one thing to say which coins on the monitoring list should be kept but creating FUD in a space that has had a very difficult time creating legitimacy is a bad idea.
If someone has a problem with a project, they shouldn’t buy it. There’s millions of coins out there and probably a few thousand to choose from on binance.
This could lead to some projects telling their community to vote out their competition if their rival is on the monitoring tag or some communities voting for other coins they know nothing about just to save their own. It’s one thing to have a vote for coins that should be listed on binance but this is monitoring tag vote is inappropriate.
Or for some communities to save their coin, they’re forced to buy some BNB just to vote for removal of a coin they did no research on. That’s horrendous!
Even then, having the list sorted by market cap from highest to lowest puts those at the top at a statistical disadvantage since those tend to get more votes. There are studies that show the first candidate in an election gets about 5% more votes than others just because they’re first. I would expect nothing different here.
Binance has a bunch of memes listed that never even thought to provide utility but they aren’t on the monitoring list. It doesn’t make any sense. You’re killing possible utility.
To the #jasmy community:
I know many people are frustrated, but do not vote for jasmy to be delisted due to your anger. You’re just going to hurt yourself in the end. Many altcoins are bleeding so this recent price action is not because of $jasmy. We haven’t seen the bull market yet so it doesn’t make sense to give up.
I know the team is working hard. They may not get everything right but no one does. Clearly, even binance got this one wrong by putting jasmy in the monitoring list in the first place.
In a space where you have millions of people trying to get rich quickly, attempting to build is worth something. If @chainlink@Sony@panasonic and other major companies think @JasmyMGT is good enough then this project might be better than you think.
Jasmy is the largest coin by market cap on the monitoring list and usually does the most volume daily but this vote can still contribute to it being delisted.
This is one of the few times we may need to come together as a community because of the ugliness binance demonstrated here. There’s a chance binance will never see this post so we will have to fight back. If you feel strongly about this as I do, please retweet and please do not vote for jasmy. Voting for jasmy hurts us.
