@PenPlays_ I mean it’s not something anyone should be surprised over, this sets an example for other companies…you think Sony will lower prices once they ditch physical? Both of those companies come from the same place.
@Kafka_Garezerra I’m 36 been playing/owning Sony systems since ps1, steam has the better store that is just factual. If one is going to be forced into digital one should go with the best option which is steam in this case.
I could understand not making physical standard edition of games to cut costs but think about those higher tiers-collectors editions should still be physical media with discs, artwork and whatever collectibles that come with it.
I own not one but two disc ps5s, now I’ll admit I rarely buy physical unless it’s something I truly care about/want to support/think it will be collectible. Sonys decision to kill off physical is a spit in the face to their consumers.
@OGG1993 If you could still have five active accounts the whole digital thing wouldnt be so bad but they already seen how much money they would lose with the ps3. I used to buy the world at war map packs and give buddies my account info.
@icomplexcarbs@theboredgrim Better examples would be twisted metal (yeah it got a tv show but that ain’t a game) little big planet, infamous, jak and dexter, ape escape (niche I know) and there’s probably a handful more im forgetting. Oh days gone.
@PWBuildTeam Just got it all set up on the steam deck and I’m super excited, thank you thank you thank you! Now I just gotta trick my son into playing my favorite game.
