We know youth work is a route out of poverty and a support mechanism for our most vulnerable young people, but youth work is also an essential part of a rights-based education system that develops children and young people's talents, personalities and potential to the full.

@Ulgrid @GOVUK As an extra thought, they could probably use the current army cadets’ resources to start an NHS bootcamp, training teenagers to be paramedics, nurses, and doctors, with a possibility of fast-tracking their medical training. Anyway, UKG is tagged on this, so they’ll likely see

@Ulgrid @GOVUK They could also stop their cadets program too, since they train with members of the army and train like the military. It could be replaced by the Duke of Edinburgh program or another general citizenship program.
