I've been studying history to find examples of the following situation:

a) A large foreign population enters a nation with the support of the local government.
b) They multiply, and are slated to become the majority. They're already the majority in key urban centers.
c) After tensions, foreign population is recognized as hostile to the local population by the local population.
d) Local population successfully reclaims their country.

So far:
I have not found a single example of this without the use of organized force, and even then, it's rare.

Usually the locals realize step c) too late, and aren't able to initiate step d).

Anyone had better luck?
