@Toadcialism Cohost's biggest weakness is that it's hard to *find* people. Tag searches are currently the best way to try and build an affinity group. The atmosphere reminds me of LiveJournal. But I really like the philosophy of the Anti-Social Software Club, so I hope it works out.
Given how much debt financing went into purchasing Twitter, Melon Husk is 100% just looting this place for value and leaving investors holding the bag. He's going to intentionally run it into the ground while cashing out and making bank.
I'm skeptical about the future of canned monkeys in space, but even setting that aside, we haven't even shown that we can thrive in environments significantly less hostile than Mars. When we've solved those problems, then we can talk about long-term space habitation.
