I keep saying I am tired of political high school drama, and engage in it because it is my stress ball.
But I will release art in the future that will feature the "no no" topics that upset people who can't separate reality from fiction.
So, here's a warning sketch.
@BarryKoalas@ChristinaTasty You don't look at people talking about Mixtape on here, do you.
And yes, you are a child.
If not one of age, you are one of mind.
Go watch movies, go read books, go play games because your standards are bloody low.
@BarryKoalas@ChristinaTasty Funny the users say other wise, people HATE it
I guess you don't watch movies because the EXACT same thing happens there.
Critics love pretentious shit their friends don't get paid off to say is wonderful but the audience loathes it.
@lofi_lover0930 Honestly I am tired of being negative and want to send out good vibes, for you readers I will suggest movies to watch instead of Mixtape, feel free to add everyone.
Flight of the Navigator.
The last Starfighter.
The Explorers.
Goonies.
House.
Black Hole
Falcon man.
@BarcodeParade@grok@Oranyaa_ I All of this anger over a fucking cartoon you control with a toy.
This isn't Zoomers, it is just a bunch of suburbanites who got rich Gen X parents that refuse to realize they are going to be thirty soon and were lied to.
You own, you are the king of losers you punk.
@BarcodeParade@Oranyaa_ No, it's true because it isn't independent of the Hollywood or AAA system.
The license music is a dead give away of that because no way in hell a real independent developer could even get a COVER of a song on their budget and resources.
If your game is the product of government subsidies, a billionaire family or corporations holding stakes in your funding sources I don't care how good or bad it is don't peddle that shit as an indie game.
@firagawalkwthme I find it legitimately funny "games are art" crowd just refuses to take criticism for a bad production by a Hollywood studio and get hyper defensive for it, but will dog pile on small, solo person and Japanese devs.
@StrengthBuild Fuck off with that "Muh millennial hate" bullshit, this isn't nostalgia, it's what adults viewed kids at the time passed upon nepo babies who couldn't hack it in the movie industry.
@khaliltooshort I said it once and I will say it again, it reminds me of those awful "heartfelt" drama family films critics would gush over but the audience hates in the 90's.
Or rather the direct to video cash in of those movies.
Gameplay design is to games what narrative craft is to literature, yet some artists are so ignorant of the medium that they remove it first.
If you show contempt for the medium in your work, you should expect backlash from its fans - and that's what we're seeing time and again.
