This is one of the reasons I created my own Discord server: a nerd culture paradise where grifters get called out for their bullshit and gamers can actually play, enjoy, and discuss their games with constructive criticisms and genuine appreciation.

For real, they need to open the schools back up, because even if some of these people have certificates or diplomas, clearly, it still wasn’t enough. 💀

The way some people talk to others on this website makes you wonder how they managed to graduate in the first place.

This is why I miss gaming discussions from the '90s and early 2000s, when you could like something without it turning into a fucking war. You could have an opinion, disagree with someone, and still respect each other's perspectives. Not everyone had to like the same things, and that was perfectly normal.

You could express your opinions without being attacked, misrepresented, or treated like shit for enjoying something other people didn't. People were more willing to let others enjoy what they liked without making it a personal issue.

It's genuinely disheartening to see how much gaming discourse has degraded. Too many smooth-brained people have turned something that's supposed to be fun into an endless cycle of tribalism, ragebait, and bad-faith arguments. It's fucking disgusting. I feel your pain, seriously.
