It was great to meet the young people from Jazzle Dazzle Studios last week as they celebrated their success after bringing home three golds and one silver from the Allstar World Championships in Orlando, Florida.
I'm looking for three special young people to help me switch on the Christmas lights this year in either Paisley, Renfrew or Johnstone.
All your little one has to do is design a Christmas card!

I am thrilled to see Paisley Town Hall back in use, and it was an honour to be able to mark that occasion on behalf of the people of Renfrewshire by officially unveiling a plaque to mark it's reopening on Friday night.
The choir will perform as part of the Ar Cànan ’s Ar Ceol (Our Language, Our Music) concert at Paisley Town Hall on Saturday 14th October. The upcoming Mòd will be the group’s first competition and I wish them all the best of luck.
It was an honour to welcome young people from @feisphaislig 's Gaelic choir to the Council Chambers yesterday to perform ahead of the Royal National Mòd, coming to Paisley next month.
Earlier this month I joined many of you out and about in Renfrewshire for Doors Open Days. It's always an incredible opportunity to visit buildings you never normally get to see inside. This year I really enjoyed visiting some new locations and meeting so many lovely folk.
Mary Russell, along with Ralston Primary School, have been nominated in the Scots School o the Year category for their exceptional efforts to promote the Scots language.
The winners will be announced on Saturday and I wish both schools the very best of luck.
It was great to visit pupils from Mary Russell School this week as they took part in a Scots Language workshop with Renfrewshire’s Tannahill Makar, Shaun Moore, ahead of the Scots Language Awards being held in Johnstone Town Hall this weekend.
I was honoured to open The Hub. Having a dedicated space for day services will mean so much to those who benefit from the support offered by the team at St Vincent's and their families.
We were delighted to welcome supporters, sponsors & friends to the recent launch of The Hub here at the Hospice.
Chair, Eunice Muir & Provost Lorraine Cameron, officially open the new space to host our Day Services.

It was great to meet Heath and Mary Jackson from Texas in Paisley Abbey recently. Heath and Mary were visiting their daughter who is currently living in Paisley with YWAM - Youth With A Mission.
