I never took graduation photos, went to prom, or celebrated past milestones. So yes…this moment matters. Being hooded at the Cities United Convening reminded me it’s okay to pause, be seen, and celebrate growth. Grateful. Now… back to the work!
I’ll be at the Tulisoma: South Dallas Book Fair on Nov. 8 at the African American Museum of Dallas! 📚

Grateful to attend the 2nd Rocket Foundation Summit in ATL with the @CitiesUnited Impact Team who are building safer, stronger communities together. Big love to Atlanta for the Southern hospitality 💛
Left a free signed copy of Dominique’s Thrifted Treasures at @BirchCoffee in NYC—plus a coffee coupon inside ☕📚🌈 In honor of #PrideMonth + this city’s legacy of reinvention, Dominique had to make a stop. Stay funky, NYC 💛

After 25+ years, Dr. James McNally is retiring! 🎉 Since 1998, he’s advanced aging research at ICPSR, growing NACDA to 1,643 studies, 1.2M variables, & 37.8K publications. Wishing him the best in retirement—hopefully with time in Hawaii & Japan! #Retirement#AgingResearch@ICPSR
I watched my brothers say goodbye to their cousin forever today. They were supposed to all grow old together. They shouldn’t have to know what it feels like to hold a casket. They shouldn’t have to hold that weight. This world can be so cruel.
I love that God made me a big sister. I love even more that He has placed so many other big sisters in my life now. And I love my lateral sisters even more. And I love my baby sister the most. Sisterhood can be so beautiful.
