@iaindocherty @SFScotland @HomeMckee @BlackIslePMD Actually the tool is great to show the difference between local mobility vs regional travel. As you say, in cities and towns walking is just as efficient as getting in a car. But cycling is by far the fastest way to get around and the tool helps illustrate that brilliantly.

2/2 ...it also shows why 20-minute neighbourhoods is a distinctly urban phenomenon. The below images shows travel radius in 15 mins by bicycle vs 15 mins by car - and to be clear the bicycle is on the left. Faced with traffic in a city, cycling is simply much more efficient.

1/2 This is indeed a great tool. A great illustration of why we need to distinguish between urban mobility and regional/national travel. The visual shows how far you can get in one hour by car vs public transport. Clearly cars seem the best option - however, in an urban context..
