Driving through rural Switzerland. Cows, church steeples, the whole postcard. Then a billboard: "No to war. Yes to neutrality."

For a second I wasn't in Switzerland. I was in Georgia.

Same slogan. In Georgia "No to war" is on the lips of every pro-Russian politician and every government official, while the war Russia started sits 40 km from the capital. Same simulated war-news videos, same "they want to drag us into war," same voice telling you the only danger is your own government.

Let me spell it out: nobody is dragging Switzerland into a war. No one is invading Switzerland. No one asked Switzerland to send troops. The only "war" this billboard is against is the sanctions on the guy who actually started one.

That's the trick. It's not a neutrality campaign. It's a Kremlin script with a Swiss cross on it: "war" means "helping the victim," "neutrality" means "helping the aggressor," and "peace" means "shut up and buy Russian gas."

I watched this exact script eat Georgia. Now I see it in Germany, France, Switzerland. The KGB doesn't need tanks to win in the free world. It needs a billboard and a voter who thinks the aggressor is somewhere else.

Russia is not coming to Switzerland. Russia is already here. It's on the roadside.

Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
"NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.

If there is precisely one thing you watch today, make it this. French Senator Claude Malhuret. A microphone. And the most magnificently savage dismantling of the Trump administration ever delivered in a language they almost certainly don’t speak.

He covers Iran. He covers corruption. He covers the kind of staggering, industrial-scale incompetence that would get you fired from managing a car park. And he does it with the calm, unhurried certainty of a man who has read every page of the indictment and found it, if anything, worse than expected.

France has never pretended to like these people. But this is contempt elevated to an art form. The kind of refined, aristocratic disdain that takes centuries of civilization to produce and approximately ninety seconds to deploy.

Malhuret sounds like he is four seconds from the button. Not out of panic. Out of sheer, exhausted disgust.

Besonders brisant:

1943–1944 lieferte die Schweiz ca. 50 % aller Zünder für die deutsche 8,8-cm-Flakgranate.

Oerlikon-Bührle lieferte 1944 noch 20-mm-Kanonen, obwohl die Alliierten bereits protestierten.

Die Schweiz soll gemäss Ansicht einiger Historiker durch Kriegsmateriallieferungen den Zweiten Weltkrieg um Monate verlängert haben.

Diejenigen, die hier neutralitätspolitische Bedenken äussern, sind wohl der Ansicht, dass die Schweiz während des Krieges nicht neutral gewesen sei...

Kriegsmaterialexporte der heutigen Schweiz ist für die eigene Landesverteidigung notwendig. Man sollte mit den Linken keine unheilige Allianzen bilden und der Wehrkraft der Eidgenossenschaft schaden.
