There were no checkpoints at the doors at street level. This checkpoint was only one level up from the ballroom, the stairs down to the ballroom are yards away. Grateful for the rapid response, but the fact that anyone could get this far into the building was a serious problem.

President Trump was going to deliver an incredible and humorous speech tonight. And I’m sure it was going to be a huge victory. Unfortunately, that was not how the night played out. A deranged lunatic showed up with a gun.

I was there. Security was terrible at the event. It was the easiest event I’ve ever gained access to that the president was at. It was so bad we talked about it at our table before the shots rang out.

Remember, 90% of the people in the room were part of the fake news who have spread abject and despicable lies about President Trump. They have sowed so much division in our country.

I am so grateful to God that President Trump is safe tonight. I’m so grateful that nobody in the room was killed. My kids, who knew I was in the room tonight, were frantically calling me and I could not reach them until much later to tell them I was OK.

I can’t believe how lax the security was at the White House correspondents dinner tonight. Upon entering nobody asked to visibly INSPECT my ticket nor asked for my photo identification. All one had to do was flash what appeared to be a ticket and they were fine with that. When you consider you are entering a roomful of fake news media —90% of whom hate the President you would think they would have better security. This is what happened when what sounded like gunfire erupted.
On the way out, I called-out a bunch of the disgusting Media who have been pushing hatred toward President Trump for years. They are a big part of the discord in this country.
