@andrewabogado I saw this and really excited to check it out. I do think HTML should be a first class citizen with JS sprinkled and I also feel SPA was rather unnecessary but somehow it has become a "standard" 🤭 To have a product like Hey approaching it this way vindicates my thoughts.
I was getting disillusioned with front-end tech and workflows. Not to mention slow dev servers and large JS bundles for production. I don't think it is the right way of doing front-end when things could be simpler. It is refreshing to see Hey takes a different approach.
Yesterday I had a 23 yr old python developer make fun of me for being a UI developer. "What do you do move boxes around." 😤
I have architected enterprise level systems kid, sit the f*ck down.
If you think frontend is easy, you're doing it wrong. Also you're probably a dick 🤷♀️
@piratefsh I'm fine! I'm stuck in Malaysia though because of the lockdown but not complaining since I'm with family. I hope you're OK too. Stay safe. I don't hear good things coming from the States.
Was suppose to be doing something but got distracted and ended up blogging instead. Last year, I turned my traditional #wordpress blog to a headless WP and #gatsbyjs for front-end. My blog has never been so fast!~~

Being stuck at home gives me more time and more time means my blog isn't dead anymore! Documenting my experience on speeding up a personal project that uses Mapbox: https://t.co/zP1o8VlyE7
@cliener It does help a lot. From our short interaction, I was not really impressed by her skills. If you have the audacity to brag, make sure you have the skills/work to back it up.
Haven't explored this kind of writing style in a while which is more personal. Here's a little lesson that I learned by observing someone who's unpleasant to work with.

I agree with this so much. Some people just don't give CSS the respect it deserves and so they never bother to learn it properly. Ended up writing bad CSS and blaming the tool instead 🙄
Wrote about CSS Houdini's Properties, Values, and Paint API. Gave a talk about it at @SingaporeCSS and decided to write a little bit about it since not everyone likes watching tech talk videos. Me being one of them ha~ #CSS#Houdini

@WestonThayer5@hj_chen I do want my consumer library to be able to override my component styles though since components may behave the same but themes and colors are different for different projects. So it is not really an issue depending on how you import the styles
