Hi all! We are taking the opportunity this summer to migrate to a few new social media platforms. We won't be posting to X often, but you can find our current updates at https://t.co/mBKi7D4B1D or @rennerresearch.bsky.social.
Undergraduate Hari Sudhakar's paper about cysteine adsorption on Au in @JPhysChem demonstrates the interplay between applied potential, adsorbate structure, and ion structuring at electrochemical interfaces! Great collaboration with @RennerResearch!

And if you are at ECS #PRiME2024 you can see Sogol's talk on this work Oct. 10, at 11:40 AM in the K02 Symposium. Also very proud to mention she was supported with a ECS travel grant, and the article will be part of the upcoming AICHE Journal Futures Issue🥳 💪#CWRU@CaseEngineer
Excited to share our recent publication first-authored by Sogol Asaei with co-authors Geeta Verma and Nicholas Sinclair entitled, "Electrochemical biosensing of cerium with a tyrosine‐functionalized EF‐hand loop peptide." Please check it out ➡️https://t.co/JZUCIX4Duj
Last week two Renner Lab graduate students, Rebecca Ahn and Sogol Asaei, shared their work on antifouling and responsive materials at the Regional Society for Biomaterials meeting here at #CWRU! 💪 #proudPI@CaseEngineer
Congrats to Renner Lab PhD student Terril Vallikalam for being selected to the CASFER Future Engineering Academic Leaders program! 🤩 #CWRU@CaseEngineer
CASFER congratulates the 8 selected CFEAL Scholars!
CFEAL provides selected CASFER students with intentional experiences to develop leadership skills while pursuing knowledge, discovery, and cultural convergence to become future leaders in Academia or Industry.

We had the opportunity to present our work on REE capture at the 35th International Conference on Science and Technology of Complex Fluids in San Luis Potosí last week! A trip filled with fantastic talks, hospitality, and a bit of sight seeing. Thanks again to the organizers!
Congrats to #CWRU PhD candidate Sogol Asaei for passing her second proposition yesterday!! 🥳💪🌠Sogol has made excellent progress toward the goals of our #NSFunded CAREER project to develop a better understanding of the behavior of surface-bound elastin-like peptides #proudPI
In advance of our Summer issue coming in a few weeks, we'll be highlighting some upcoming articles that are available now ahead-of-print! Check out this great submission on service learning and outreach from @RennerResearch and team at @CWRU_ChBE! https://t.co/UMp4AF4osV
Excited to announce that Assistant Professor @r_warburt has received an NSF grant through the Chemical Catalysis Program exploring solvent reorganization effects on the kinetics of electrochemical hydrogen evolution! Congrats Rob!! 🥳 #CWRU@CaseEngineer

Big congrats to graduate lab members Geeta Verma and Sogol Asaei who have won department awards this year!! Geeta received the Outstanding Journal Article Award and Sogol was recognized with the Outstanding Presentation and Service and Leadership Award!🤩🥳👏#proudPI#CWRU
Help us in congratulating the winners of the CASFER Poster Competition!
All of our CASFER scholars did an excellent job demonstrating CASFER research through their posters, and congratulations again to the winners!
#casfer#nsf
Excited to share that first year graduate student Terril Vallikalam won first place at the poster competition during the @casfer_erc annual site visit!!! 🥳🤩👏 We are so lucky to have her as part of the team. #proudPI#CWRU@CaseEngineer
@Ella_Maru@ACS_AMI@Duval_Lab @rbgetman @GTChBE Thanks! In the paper, we do explore the impact of pH on affinity in solution from ~5.5 down to ~2.0, with decreasing affinity as the solution becomes more acidic. There is more exciting work to be done to study the impact of pH on tethered peptides, and the impact of temperature!
Proud to share our new article in @ACS_AMI! 🥳First authors Geeta Verma and Jacob Hostert worked with our collaborators @Duval_Lab, @rbgetman, and @GTChBE to characterize the rare earth element affinity of surface-bound peptides derived from Lanmodulin: https://t.co/rI3ItE5NYP
Happy to be welcoming three new undergraduate researchers to the lab this semester: Ceaden Couch, Sophia Chan and Zijian Wang! 🥳 We are looking forward to working with you all. @CaseEngineer#CWRU
Summer 2024 internship opportunity!
@NSF engineering research center CASFER is looking for talented engineering students this summer, including a position in @RennerResearch lab at CWRU.
