72% of the UK believe that Water Company bosses who illegally dump sewage should go to jail.
RT if you think they should too.
And they still charge customers BILLIONS in sewage treatment charges that they don’t do.
Ofgem set new energy bills in 12 days time.
Energy companies made their highest profits for 115 years last year more than doubling profits.
Wholesale costs have crashed to new lows.
Ofgem must cut energy bills.
@BBCPolitics Is it not simply a case of directing the monopolistic providers to reduce prices in line with their purchasing costs - applying the same logic as when they increased them. No one (govt or users) should be paying these price levels thats where the fraud is happening surely !
One of the justifications for dishing out 10-year prison sentences for peaceful protest is the actions of environmentalists.
🔴Four days ago, 292 Tory MPs voted to let water companies CONTINUE dumping sewage in British rivers.

Short 🧵 on sewage:
Following a complaint, in 2012 the EU Commission took the UK Gov to the European Court Justice over allowing water companies to dump sewage into rivers.
Court ruled it was illegal and that sewage overflows should only ever be used in "exceptional situations"
@JeremyVineOn5 Yes clearly. The govt need to step up and pay them properly not rely on their biased media wearing down support for our critcal services.
You may recall the Criminal Barristers were out on strike… I don’t recall any nastiness from Government & RW media … the good old Barristers settled their dispute and called off the strike action. They got a 15% pay deal. They got a 15% pay deal…. Retweet please

Surely we cannot be removing regs to allow yet another crisis to happen in the future that will need to be funded by the public purse. When will they stop lining their own pockets on the back of us hard working tax payers. De-regulation here is not what people voted for FFS !
A bonfire of regulations imposed in the wake of the financial crash, designed to save the UK economy from another banking crisis and a resulting lost decade of growth.
And that's a post-Brexit benefit?
Truly desperate stuff. Another government sponsored race to the bottom...
Once again @ofwat proves to be the pale, pathetic, phantom of regulation.
While @thameswater make £2m per day (PD), & also leaking 595 million litres of water PD from their underinvested network of pipes, Ofwat pleads with the industry to act fairly & play nicely. Depressing.
Royal Mail are claiming they can’t afford pay rises but are employing agency workers at £25ph who can work overtime.
But our posties are on £13ph.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but Neil Diamond, who retired from performing five years ago because of Parkinsons, just had a Broadway show of him open and it at the opening night he did this
