@CP24 So rather than having the DEVELOPERS pay those DC’s - the ones who are lDEVELOPING & profiting from the DEVELOPMENTS - cut those fees in half so they can not lower their prices, make more money & tax every citizen more so we can pay for them to make more money… good then. 🤔
We just spent $190M on an election that changed absolutely nothing and likely provided the lowest turnout of voters - possibly ever.
If this doesn’t show how little faith people have in the Government and its constituents, I’m not sure what does.
@jay_k_shaw I hope it’s something along the lines of - the leafs trade Morgan Reilly to whoever will take him in exchange for something useful in return, plus a draft pick
@CTVKitchener There’s a natural area in Wilmot being used in the exact same way that doesn’t have a parking lot - Walker Woods. Tons of cars parked on the side of a busy regional road at any given time. Not sure how they can be selective & decide one needs parking but not the other #corruption
@RegionWaterloo Oh btw - that gravel pit you approved is inside a “drinking water protection zone” directly above an aquifer that provides drinking water to tens of thousands of people across the Region. This pit can dig to within 5 feet of the aquifer, but we have to get septic inspections? 👌
Just a glimpse of how shady & deceitful our recently elected politicians in Wilmot Township have proven to be. Pretty sad for only being in office 4 months - can’t wait for the next 3 and a half years. People wonder why there is so much political criticism & mistrust these days.
Will be interesting to see how Rogers deals with this outage and what they do (or don’t) for all business that were crippled by this outage today. I’m guessing nothing, because hey, that’s the Rogers way.
Tonight, Wilmot Township Council voted unanimously not to approve the Jackson Harvest Farms Ltd. Zone Change application originally submitted in December 2019. Full media release available at https://t.co/ohCMXyNCE2 Recording of the meeting is available at https://t.co/sqxWedIByd
@LynAdamson1@ChevroletCanada Just to be clear, I am not trying to start an argument or be rude, we definitely need to make a positive change! I am just trying to pass along the cold hard facts of what the production of these EV batteries are actually doing to the planet because it’s truly frightening.
@LynAdamson1@ChevroletCanada Manufacturers need to refine battery technology before mass adoption can happen. We as a society need not be so narrow minded & look at the bigger picture. I recommend doing some reading on where the materials for the batteries come from & what’s involved in mining & producing it
@LynAdamson1@ChevroletCanada Fun fact - by the time an EV leaves the assembly line, more greenhouse gasses are produced making the vehicle than an internal combustion engine will release in its entire lifetime. Ev’s are the future but the production of their battery packs thus far is destroying the planet.
Hey @elonmusk - I keep hearing the debate about cost of ownership of a Tesla vs. Toyota Camry/Rav 4 Hybrid. Why don’t you give me an S and I will put it against my parents 2021 Rav 4 Hybrid and put the argument to rest. #unbiased#challenge
@elonmusk - why an S you’re wondering? Because it is the only Tesla that has a comparable range to the Rav 4 hybrid fuel economy. Don’t want the P, self driving or the ludicrous mode. Just standard Range dual motor to compare. #dontbescared
