So what exactly ARE El-Sayed's so-called ties to terrorism.
His half-sister (raised by his mother) said his mother was a member of it in the 70s.
A few things about that.
1. The Muslim Brotherhood had already denounced terrorism.
2. El-Sayed wasn't even born.
3. El-Sayed was raised by his father and step-mother since he was 3.
4. The Muslim Brotherhood wasn't even declared a terrorist organization by the US until the Trump Administration did so in January of this year.
5. The specific allegations that led to the designation only happened in the last two years.
6. The allegations haven't been proven, and the Egyptian chapter has denied them.
So 50 years before these things happened, and 10 years before he was born, his mom belonged to them.
If this sounds like Obama's Brother Part 2, it's because it is.
This isn't about truth. It's about smuggling in racist assumptions.
@danielsgoldman@AbdulElSayed AES will win this election because most voters don’t want to discuss Jew/Muslim/Christian anything. Get your blinders off.
@RepAmWatch@doubleouttahere@COLINREESE@mattyglesias lol yes, good job Sherlock. I have a low opinion on weaklings that have no self-respect and are willing to betray their own people for the acceptance of those that have always and will always hate them.
John somehow thinks we can’t see the bigotry dripping from his tweet.
* I don’t know what’s uglier — his hatred of Muslims or his revilement of Jews who don’t share it.
Imagine, a man who wants Jews dead and a Jew who is too scared of the man who wants Jews dead to say she doesn't think he should be a senator! What a great choice! Imagine! I'm imagining. You asshole.
The Independent's Washington Correspondent Andrew Feinberg has been banned from President Donald Trump's press pool after a tense encounter in the Oval Office on Tuesday (20 October).
Ronan Farrow reported in 2023 that the Pentagon signed a SpaceX contract to keep Musk from being able to cut off Ukraine’s battlefield connectivity at will. Colin Kahl described it as a way to lock in service so Musk couldn’t just flip the switch.
WSJ now reports U.S. officials say Musk ordered the Oct. 14 Starshield slowdown anyway, after speaking with Trump.
If that reporting holds, the guardrail didn’t hold.
Whoa. The U.S. added 90% fewer jobs in 2025 than originally reported.
That’s not a rounding error. That’s a massive difference between the economy Americans were told we had and the one we actually had.
This Forbes investigation is a must-read.
Donald Trump pulled in roughly $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025, plus more than $200 million from real estate, and faced a projected tax bill north of $500 million. So his company donated the "development rights" to his Jupiter, Florida golf course to a land trust, argued the course was a natural habitat worth protecting, and kept right on running the club. Forbes estimates the write-off could land around $825 million.
He has done this at least five times since 2005. New York's attorney general alleged two of those appraisals were inflated. In Doral, he claimed a deduction of up to $323 million, more than double what he paid for the entire resort.
A month after the Jupiter deal, he sued the IRS. The settlement his own Justice Department signed bars claims against him over matters that "could be pending," language that appears broad enough to cover this year's taxes. A federal judge found the case was brought to manipulate the judicial process. And the man now running the IRS, who took the job as this deal was being assembled, has a home backing onto those same Jupiter fairways.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody should be able to use the presidency to write his own tax bill.

@Jenmimimary@JoeConchaTV@tolmanbrett The oath is to the Constitution for a reason. It’s literally what constitutes the United States.
* just something to think about, Jen.
Abdul El-Sayed could become the first Muslim U.S. senator, with a Quran at his ceremonial oath. My concern is his judgment, not his faith: his genocide and apartheid accusations against Israel and his answers about reported family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
An exclusive excerpt from ‘Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed’s Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East’ by Matthew Cole examines how bank accounts linked the president's son-in-law—and former senior adviser—to Israel, the UAE and Saudi Arabia: https://t.co/ow49HWQkU8
