After my oversight inquiry into Miami Correctional Facility, ICE acknowledged that detainees missed nearly 800 prescribed medication doses. These admissions raise serious concerns about the conditions inside the facility. I continue to call for an end to ICE detention at Miami Correctional Facility, a full and transparent investigation into injuries and deaths, and accountability for any failures that put lives at risk.

NEW: I just released ICE’s response to my inquiry on conditions at Indiana’s Miami Correctional Facility.

ICE acknowledges they failed to provide a staggering 799 doses of medication. ICE has a clear legal duty to protect the health and safety of everyone in its custody – and they are failing.

Nolan Wells' family is experiencing every Black family's worst nightmare.

Not only are they suffering the unimaginable grief of losing a child, they're not getting the truth, transparency, or accountability. Mississippi officials retained some of Nolan's body parts, so yesterday’s independent autopsy leaves more questions unanswered.
