In July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month and recognize the resilience, strength and contributions of the disability community. We must reject discrimination and the stigma around disabilities as we continue the fight toward a more inclusive Minnesota for everyone.
Happy Fourth of July and happy 250th birthday to the United States of America!
Today, we celebrate and recommit to the values of democracy, freedom and equal opportunity that unite us as Americans. I’m wishing everyone in Minnesota a safe and joyful day filled with friends, family, fireworks and plenty of bratwurst! 🇺🇸🌭💙
It was great to stop by the Women in Service Statue Dedication Ceremony at the Eagan Central Park Tribute Plaza yesterday!
Countless Minnesota women serve honorably in our nation’s military, and I’m proud to be honoring their service right here in #MN02.
One year ago today, the House passed President Trump’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
17 million Americans lost health care coverage.
Nearly 5 million kids, seniors and veterans lost food assistance.
Meanwhile the top 0.1% received $1 trillion in tax breaks.
None of that sounds beautiful to me.
The last time I met with Andrea was in El Paso, Texas where she was being held in ICE detention. She was in pain from an untreated ovarian cyst, scared and missing her family. We prayed together that our efforts would pay off and she would soon be released.
Last month, those prayers were answered. I couldn’t be happier that Andrea has received the care she desperately needed and is reunited with her mom and siblings.
Andrea’s release was the result of our community coming together and demanding better from this administration. It’s who we are as Minnesotans, and it’s what we’ll continue to do.
Welcome home, Andrea. ❤️
Last year, President Trump cut $187B from SNAP in the largest wealth transfer from the middle class to the ultra wealthy in US history.
Now, Minnesotans are paying the price.
It was never about lowering costs — it was about handing tax breaks to the top 0.1% at the expense of hardworking Minnesotans.

Thanks to tax breaks in his Big Ugly Bill, the top 0.1% in this country are getting an extra $847 every day.
This is Trump’s America: while working Minnesotans struggle, billionaires cash out.
Happy National Postal Worker Day! Rain, snow (which in Minnesota, is no joke) or blazing heat – Minnesota’s dedicated postal workers get the job done.
To all of Minnesota’s postal workers: thank you. ✉️ 📬
THIS JUST IN: President Trump personally profited AT LEAST $2.2 billion this year while in office. Instead of using the Presidency put money in your pockets, he’s lining his own.
I have a bill to stop him.
Trump decimated our trade markets. Now he’s undermining USMCA – arguably the most important trade deal for MN farmers.
This Admin needs to start putting our farmers first. America cannot, and should not, kneecap ourselves by walking away from USMCA.

Medicare was officially implemented 61 years ago today. For over six decades, this program has made it possible for Minnesota seniors to get the health care they need at a price they can afford.
While Republicans continue to attack these critical programs, I’ll continue fighting to protect Medicare for generations to come.
🚨BREAKING NEWS --- THE HOUSE is going to go home tonight after the next vote series.
JULY 4 recess will begin tonight after @SpeakerJohnson was unable to pass a rule
Tonight, I signed a petition forcing a vote to shut down President Trump’s nearly $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund.
No more billionaire bailouts.
🚨BREAKING: RM @RepRaskin just filed his discharge petition to force a full House vote on legislation to shut down Trump’s $1.776 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund and “Super Pardon” scheme.
Congress can, and must, defend the taxpayers and put an end to Todd Blanche's schemes to turn J6 cop-beaters into MAGA millionaires while giving the Trump family and all of their businesses lifetime immunity for any violation of federal law. We need 218 Members—Democrats and Republicans—to stand up and shut down these corrupt dealings.
Today, the Supreme Court reaffirmed that those born on American soil are American citizens.
President Trump can try to rewrite the Constitution but the fact is: birthright citizenship is a founding principle of our nation.
Today’s ruling is a win for all Americans.
BREAKING: Supreme Court rejects President Trump's attempt to limit birthright citizenship, delivering a major blow to the president. https://t.co/1mNUMaKw0e
Minnesotans don’t think the ability to buy a home is unimportant. It’s actually one of their number one concerns.
It’s why I helped pass the most comprehensive housing package in 30 years. Trump should sign it.
Trump’s DOJ is suing Minnesota to get our state to turn over sensitive data so they can target veterans, kids and seniors who rely on food assistance programs.
My response as the top House Democrat responsible for these programs: hell no. And see you again in court.
🏛️Today the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump:
✅ Must pay $5 million in damages to E. Jean Carroll
❌ Cannot throw out valid mail-in ballots that arrive after election day
❌ Cannot fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook as political retribution
These rulings reaffirm one thing: that President Trump – no matter how hard he tries to cheat, steal and lie – is not above the law.
June is Immigrant Heritage Month, a time to recognize and honor the generations of immigrants who strengthen our communities. I’m proud to represent a district that reflects the rich diversity of our state. MN is stronger because of our immigrant communities, and I will continue to fight for them every day.
In Trump’s America, Minnesotans are literally being forced to choose between putting gas in the tank and feeding their families. We can’t accept this as the new normal.
We’ve got to keep working toward the Minnesota we all deserve – where folks can afford not just to get by, but to get ahead.
