'He's throwing a tantrum now because he lost in court. We were victorious because the law is on our side and we're not going to stop if we have to continue to go back to court against Donald Trump.' Kennedy Center board member Rep. Joyce Beatty talks with @jaketapper about the new court ruling against President Trump in the fight over the Kennedy Center.
Thank you @RepBeatty for your incredible leadership in forcefully pushing back against the President’s reckless vanity project at the Kennedy Center.
If Donald Trump spent half as much time trying to lower the cost of living as he does plotting to demolish national treasures, our economy would not be failing.
These extremists are completely unhinged.

ICYMI: @JoyceBeatty first joined @weeknightmsnow to tell us what went down at the Kennedy Center board meeting:
“He went into a tantrum” https://t.co/xoLUhROEvN
Rep. @JoyceBeatty: I was at the Kennedy Center board meeting with Trump. It was the most unprofessional thing that I’ve ever witnessed. He said, ‘I think you’re incompetent,’ and I said, ‘I know you’re incompetent.’
He said he was going to hold me responsible if something fell out of the ceiling and killed someone. I said, ‘you’re already killing people. We’re at war. We also have people who are starving.’
He wanted to talk about how great he was at developing. I reminded him that he had more bankruptcies than anybody in the room.
This is why Trump can’t stand Black women. They don’t take his shit.
Let’s appreciate Rep. Joyce Beatty for being the fighter we need.
Trump: “I think you’re incompetent.”
Beatty: “I know you’re incompetent.”
Then she reminded him: “You had more bankruptcies than anybody in the room.” 🔥
