3 years ago Illinois banned assault weapons, high capacity magazines, and rapid-fire devices.

Illinois is undeniably safer - we have had fewer mass shootings and less gun violence.

We will keep making progress, and won’t let the gun industry dictate the safety of our state.👊💪

1-year ago, Illinois banned assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

That’s 365 days of nonproliferation of weapons of war in our communities.

Thousands of volunteers and years of advocacy defeated the gun lobby in the Capitol and the courts. (1/5)

Thank you to GPAC for this recognition, and congratulations to my fellow honorees, Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and GPAC founder Tom Vanden Berk, for their years of dedication to gun violence prevention. (3/4)

With an additional $62 million remaining as part of a total $122 million state investment, we will continue working to protect our communities, strengthen infrastructure, and reduce flooding across the county!

[Bob Morgan @RepBobMorgan]

With $2 million in funding from state appropriations I helped secure alongside my colleagues in the Lake County legislative delegation, I was proud to celebrate the completion of the Skokie River Revitalization Project!

[Bob Morgan @RepBobMorgan]

Since taking office in 2019, we have helped advance more than $60 million in flood prevention projects across Lake County.

Horrified to hear how close we were to another mass shooting in Illinois - one that would have devastated us all.

I am so grateful that Congressman Krishnamoorthi, his family and the entire Hindu community are safe thanks to the work of our local law enforcement.

[Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi @CongressmanRaja]

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who helped prevent a tragedy, but we must come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.

Today we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day and honor the history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous communities here in IL and across the country.

In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day - my district office will be closed today, and will reopen tomorrow at 9:00 AM.

I want to extend my sincere congratulations to Captain Yargosz for his 27 years of service and wish him and his family all the best in retirement! 🇺🇸 (4/4)

Yesterday, my team had the honor of attending the Retirement Ceremony at Naval Station Great Lakes, recognizing Captain Steve Yargosz. (1/4)

[Bob Morgan @RepBobMorgan]

Playing a vital role in preparing the next generation of sailors to serve our nation, I am proud to have the Naval Station Great Lakes in my district, and I am grateful for the thousands of service members and military families who contribute so much to our community. (3/4)

We need FEWER political robocalls and robotexts, not more.

I will be introducing legislation for a simple, centralized opt-out for Illinois residents, registration of mass-message vendors, and a strong enforcement mechanism.

This stuff has gotta stop.

[Chicago Tribune @chicagotribune]

FCC considers allowing more political robocalls before midterms, including those created with AI https://t.co/iMmSV1WBen

May we continue to use this day to honor the lives we have lost and keep their memories alive.

3 years ago at 6:29 AM, a barrage of 1,000s of rockets was launched into Israel as Hamas-led militants infiltrated communities across southern Israel and attacked the Nova Music Festival, beginning the horrifying tragedy of Oct 7th - the deadliest attack on Jewish people... (1/5)

[Bob Morgan @RepBobMorgan]

There is great relief that those who survived captivity have returned home, but today must also remain a day to never forget the lives lost in this horrific tragedy.
