Bynum: I want to start off by saying just how laughable it is to be calling this bill “beautiful” and I would like to replace that word with “trash.”
It is a trash bill and here is why. It is a bill that threatens $300 billion in cuts to food assistance, it is a bill that puts health care further out of reach for nearly 14 million people. It is a bill that will make it so families have to choose between putting food on the table or filling a prescription. It is a bill that does nothing to lower costs or address the housing crisis
Costs have been too high for too long because of Trump’s illegal war. I’m feeling it at the gas pump and the grocery store – and I know you are too.
Today, we finally took a step in the right direction.
Breaking News: The House voted to end the war in Iran, as four Republicans sided with Democrats in a striking rebuke to President Trump. https://t.co/Oeeox0iq9q
Our veterans sacrificed so much to defend us and our freedoms – the least we can do is protect the benefits they earned and deserve.
I am proud to introduce the bipartisan SAFEGUARD Veterans Act today with @RepChrisPappas to crack down on claim sharks preying on our veterans.
If you think being a kid right now is easy, you’re not paying attention.
That’s why I introduced the Connecting Students with Mental Health Services Act. We have to make asking for help and getting help normal for our young people.
Shoutout to everyone who stopped by our mobile office hours in Sweet Home on Wednesday!
Team Bynum talked with over 60 people. Whether it’s help with a federal agency or a Capitol tour, we are here for you and coming to neighborhoods near you.
Stopped by Adidas HQ in Portland yesterday to learn more about how one of the leading apparel and footwear companies supports jobs and the economy right here at home!
And of course, I had to check out the iconic giant Superstar shoes! The shoes are 15 feet long and are part of the “Left Right Project.” Artists from the East and West Coasts each painted one of the shoes, and they have been installed at Adidas Village in Portland.
When you see housing, schools, and hospitals look closer. Our places and spaces don’t run without sheet metal helping stand them up and keep them cool.
Our friends at General Sheet Metal in Clackamas deliver on this promise and are 100% employee owned and certified as a Woman Business Enterprise. More of this please.
BTS at Stumptown Coffee right here at their cold brew manufacturing facility in Milwaukie, OR.
Fun Fact: they package nearly 13,000 cans of coffee every day!
Service members put their lives on the line every single day to keep us safe.
A big thanks to all of the families, service members, and loved ones who have sacrificed so much for our nation.
This is exactly why the Senate needs to pass the housing package that includes my Accelerating Home Building Act.
My bill cuts through red tape and speeds up processes so more families can afford a home.
