No better company than Utah Democrats. Salt Lake County Democrats held our convention today @ Brighton High — many good candidates & great turnout. #utpol
@NHCSL@phil_lyman I agree with Rep. Lyman, our system is broken and we definitely have a crisis at our border, but the rhetoric being spread by @phil_lyman’s X account isn’t going to change that, it will only heightening misinformation and hate.
As the President of @NHCSL, I can no longer be silent. @phil_lyman might be trying to score votes by targeting undocumented people by dehumanizing them but all he’s doing is giving people a free pass to question my citizenship & anyone that is of Hispanic origin.
Hey @SpencerJCox, just in case you needed a reminder that Utah does not share a border with Mexico.
Maybe our Governor should be more focused on the pressing issues in our backyard than using taxpayer resources for political stunts 1,257 miles away.

The Utah House Democratic Leadership Team releases the following statement in response to Governor Cox sending Utah National Guard members and Highway Patrol troopers to the U.S. Southern Border.
It is difficult to take this party seriously when it completely defends an unworthy leader at the expense of facts and reason. Trump’s own words and acts make clear he is corrupt and will tear up and throw away the Constitution if given the chance. Today’s GOP is a cult. #utpol
If you believe in the constitution as much as this man claims you would want to uphold the law. This is not about a political rival and if you believe this you have been duped. No one is above the law. No President, No Senator, No Congressman and No Supreme Court Justice.
“People are upset now, because it’s Pride Month, because it is public, and because that is the overall atmosphere and temperature. It feels like an easy excuse to blame the vitriol on the taxpayer dollars, when that is not the issue I hear at all.” -Rep. Sahara Hayes 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽#utleg
I'm gonna get slammed for not being a blind optimist but I'm still very concerned about the state of the GSL particularly after hearing how inflows will only be filling the north arm for some time to come.
Sound familiar? Surprised Utah wasn’t mentioned here. Utah cities have been preempted on housing affordability, gun violence, and energy policy. Republicans care about power, not local control and small government.
