[Alfa Farmers @AlfaFarmers]

On Earth Day, we consider how we care for the Earth's resources. But farmers already do that daily. They strive to care for the Earth, to provide food for others, and to protect the environment so they can pass on their land to the next generation.

Thanks to @GovernorKayIvey for signing a bill yesterday clarifying that the current state sales tax exemption applies when a farmer cultivates and harvests an agricultural product on leased or rented land. @SenTomWhatley @alfacole

[Governor Kay Ivey @GovernorKayIvey]

Very proud Alabama's First Class Pre-K was named the nation's highest quality program for the 12th year in a row! The most important part of a child's learning journey is a solid educational foundation. https://t.co/bZHVC5K2Qd

At the request of @POTUS, I have ordered flags in Alabama to be displayed at half-staff to honor the life of former First Lady Barbara Bush. Flags should remained lowered until sunset on Saturday.

@GalliherJames That bill died in the legislative session. I haven’t heard any other lawmakers talk about introducing it again. The sponsor of that bill is running for lieutenant governor so he cannot sponsor it again.
