On this day in 1983, 100 Million Americans tuned in to watch The Day After. This apocalyptic TV movie was a graphic depiction of what would happen if the USA and Russia started firing nuclear weapons at each other.
Guess what... it didn't end well. Maybe it's worth a rewatch.

@nut_history I liked him as a player and a person—my son @BenLelandOH and I got to talk with him right before game 3 of the 2002 World Series. I think he misunderstood what MoneyBall really meant
@LifeofFitz So I like the show—but I can’t get over the fact that the scenes look like they were shot in Ohio—trees, leaves etc—no cactus —hardly any beautiful desert landscape
