π¨ HEADS UP, WAUKESHA COUNTY CONSTITUENTS! π¨
Waukesha County Public Health, in partnership with local hospital systems, has launched the 2026 Community Health Survey to better understand community needs and priorities. Your feedback, along with input from residents across the county, helps guide future health initiatives, funding decisions, and programs.
You can take the Community Health Survey at https://t.co/SqknKxVPBw

Legislators who are truly in touch with their constituents should be willing to come back in to get this compromise deal passed in June. @SpeakerVos does an excellent job explaining why the proposal is both wildly popular AND fiscally responsible. #itsyourmoney
"Let's come back and do it in June...let's put some pressure on these politicians to get it done."
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is pushing for another tax relief vote after deal failed in the state Senate
Who's to blame? "Oh, there's no doubt, it's three Senate Republicans."
As we near the end of the school year, students from around the district have been making trips to the Capitol. Thank you, North Lake School for coming out!

THANK YOU to all of you who provided feedback to my office this past session. Whether it was thanking us for the e-updates or giving us recommendations on ways to improve it, your opinions are always valued. It is my privilege to keep my constituents as informed as possible on the happenings in Madison and the 99th district!!!
Last week, I was honored to be recognized by the @IIAofWI as their Legislator of the Year. Over 1,500 insurance agencies and over 300 insurance companies are domiciled in our state. It has been my honor to work with all parties in keeping Wisconsin's insurance markets stable and our national reputation solid for both the insured and the insurers.
I am extremely proud of the work we were able to accomplish this past session. It was my most successful term in the legislature, getting these 8 bills signed into law.
For more information on each of them, make sure to check out the legislature's website at the link below:

This past session was my most successful EVER!!!
Of the 20 different bills that I authored, 14 of them passed the Assembly and 8 of those were then signed into law by the Governor.
I am so proud to represent my constituents in Madison!
I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who contacted my office throughout this session! I appreciate hearing from constituents on a wide variety of issues. While constituents may not have always received the answer they wanted, my office has made every effort to provide a timely response to the voters of the 99th Assembly District. Connecting with YOU, the constituents, is at the heart of all that my office does.
With warmer weather, ALL kinds of animals get out and about. The DNR is advising us to keep an eye out for turtles as they are in their nesting season. When you see them on the road, SLOW DOWN AND GIVE THEM SPACE. You can also report sightings to the DNR if you want. You can learn more here: https://t.co/Ek5mLrTyGu
Are you part of an entity or project that is helping create jobs and boost our local economy? The U.S. Department of Agriculture is currently accepting Rural Business Development Grant applications. These grants go towards helping provide technical assistance and training in economic growth. You can learn more from the USDA here: https://t.co/zyNxkw6TRJ
While Wisconsin's "Heat Awareness Week" begins one week from today, it's not too early to remind you of the signs of heat exhaustion & heat stroke. With the sudden onset of high temperatures, don't forget to stay hydrated, and DON'T leave children or pets waiting in a hot, closed car!
Today, 39 of my colleagues and I sent a letter to Governor Evers regarding his commutation policy. It has been STUNNING to see many murderers in our state, including renowned cop killers like Ted Oswald, apply for this early release onto our streets! We asked the governor to commit to not releasing individuals like this and to do a much better job of notifying victims of such requests. Public safety and victims' rights ought to be our top concern.
I had a constituent ask me yesterday at the VFW who voted for the compromise bill, and who voted against it. The votes in the Assembly are pictured here. In the Senate, every Democrat voted against it along with Republicans Hutton, Kapenga, and Nass. For what it's worth, this constituent specifically said, "I'm sick of people playing politics with good legislation!"
Everywhere I go since our May 13th special session, people on both sides of the aisle are asking me, "Why didn't the compromise bill with the governor pass?" After I make them aware that I voted for it, my answer is always the same, "Call and write your senator!" Our Republican caucus in the Assembly worked for months helping to shape this deal. We know that the surplus is YOUR MONEY. And while I would love to give 100% back to the taxpayers, it was a reasonable compromise to additionally fund our special education students in order to get 80% of the surplus back to the taxpayers through property tax relief, a one-time direct payment, and permanently ensconcing no tax on overtime and no tax on tips.
Wisconsinites want relief NOW, and it was completely out of touch that the Senate Democrats and 3 Republicans didn't realize that.

It was a most meaningful Memorial Day remembering our fallen and, as Jason Church so aptly reminded in his speech, remembering those who lose their lives to veteran suicide once they come home from the battlefield. #MemorialDay#LandOfTheFreeBecauseOfTheBrave#NeverForget
