Aviation safety is about protecting lives.
Great to welcome eastern North Carolina’s own Aaron Adams, a first officer advocating with the Air Line Pilots Association International, about efforts to address critical safety concerns through the ROTOR Act and ALERT Act.
When those on the front lines raise serious concerns, Congress should listen and work toward solutions.
Women across North Carolina agriculture continue making a lasting impact, from family farms to agribusinesses that support our local economy.
Thankful for the opportunity to hear directly from women agricultural leaders about protecting our farming traditions, supporting rural communities, and building a stronger future for eastern North Carolina.
Rural healthcare is about real people, families, and saving lives.
By working with partners like Lifepoint Health and advancing solutions like the Rural Patient Monitoring Access Act, we can reduce barriers and improve access to quality care in our local communities.
By focusing on real solutions and bringing our tax dollars back home, we can help reopen Martin General Hospital, strengthen rural healthcare, and protect families across eastern North Carolina.

Every stitch of a servicemember’s uniform should be made in America.
Honored to co-chair the Berry Amendment Caucus with @RepPatHarrigan as we work to strengthen American manufacturing, support textile workers, and ensure our military has access to the high-quality materials it needs. Supporting American-made means supporting American jobs, American workers, and America's national security.
Did you know there is already a law requiring the federal government to buy American made products, and it is not being enforced?
The Berry Amendment has been on the books for decades, but instead of buying American, federal agencies are sending contracts to our adversaries, and the supply chains trace straight back to China nine times out of ten.
I've co-chaired the first ever Barry Amendment Caucus to put a stop to it.
Some of the most inspiring stories in eastern North Carolina start on family farms.

Jessica Rice-Hawkins, a lifelong resident of Henderson, has dedicated her life to helping others become stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally. As the owner of AimHigh Personal Training, Jessica has spent more than two decades using health and wellness to uplift individuals and inspire positive change across her community.
During the isolation and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jessica saw people struggling with loneliness, stress, and disconnection. Rather than stand still, she stepped up to create AimHigh: Keep Pressing, a nonprofit focused on keeping people active, connected, and encouraged during one of the most difficult periods many families had ever faced. What began as a virtual 5K to bring the community together during quarantine grew into a larger mission rooted in faith, service, and perseverance.
Through her work, Jessica continues to help people improve their health, build confidence, and believe in themselves during life’s toughest moments. Her leadership and compassion have made a lasting impact on families across Vance County and beyond.
