Thank you @RepGLatimer for meeting with CHCANYS and Sun River Health to discuss the critical role community health centers play in keeping New Yorkers healthy. We appreciate your support and the opportunity to highlight the importance of investing in primary care. #ValueCHCs
This past Tuesday, I had the opportunity to connect with fellow @fordhamuniversity alumni in Washington, D.C., and engage with current students and recent graduates. It was a pleasure to connect, and I look forward to continuing to partner with Fordham to expand opportunities for students and support future generations to come.

Today, I met with representatives from @alzassociation and discussed the importance of continued support and research for those impacted by this devastating disease. As we continue through Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, I will remain focused on providing the resources necessary for research and support for loved ones impacted by Alzheimer’s and all forms of dementia.
Today marks the start of Pride Month!
Pride is a celebration of being able to love who you love, but much work remains to be done on the path to equality. That’s why I remain committed to the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights alongside my @EqualityCaucus colleagues in the halls of Congress and in our communities.
Last week, I joined Rivertown’s police chiefs to address rising antisemitic attacks and the increasing use of hate symbols and speech locally, statewide, and nationally. The event was organized by Hastings-On-Hudson Mayor Tom Drake and included thoughtful presentations by Steve Goldberg of the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center and Andrew Grascia, Chief Criminal Investigator for the Westchester County DA. I am eager work with these partners to ensure we foster a community of acceptance, regardless of religion.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to stop by the Hastings-On-Hudson Fire Department along with Mayor Thomas Drake and Greenburgh Councilman Francis Sheehan to present Fire Chief Michael Gunther a flag and to thank the brave men and women for answering the call to service. I am grateful for their dedication and look forward to working with them on a local and federal level to ensure they have all resources to keep us safe.
It is long past time to close Delaney Hall in New Jersey - and many other ICE detention facilities nationwide.
They are warehousing human
beings in an inhumane manner - part of MAGA’s philosophy of depriving immigrants of human dignity. There are constant reports from people who tour the property and attest to its horrible conditions. As a descendant of immigrants, you wouldn’t accept them treating your ancestors this way. There should be no difference today.

On Memorial Day, we thank those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We commend those who answered the call and the family members and loved ones who carry their legacy forward. May we reflect and remember their sacrifice today and every day.
Every year since 2015, concluding on Memorial Day at PepsiCo’s Global HQ in Purchase, NY, a flag has journeyed across the United States by veterans who are PepsiCo drivers. They make frequent stops to honor service members and supporting businesses while raising money for their charitable cause, scholarships for gold star families. When the flag reached Washington, D.C., I had the opportunity to speak to their supporting cause at the U.S. Navy Memorial.
This week, I spoke on the House floor regarding legislation put forward in the House Foreign Affairs Committee to designate the Chancery of the United States in Pristina, Kosovo, as the 'Eliot L. Engel Building.’ May his legacy be remembered and his memory serve as a blessing.
Yesterday, I met with Women’s Health Advocates to discuss the need for investment into women’s health research. Hearing firsthand experiences gives a personal perspective to the policies we champion, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to understand how we can better support our community members.
