I am pleased the governor has signed into law my bill that focuses on preventing fraudulent activity within the Wisconsin Unclaimed Property system.
Since 1970, the state has been statutorily required to hold on to abandoned or forgotten financial assets until they can be recovered by their rightful owners. This includes funds from checking and savings accounts, uncashed dividends, insurance policies or other accounts.
However, we have never had any guardrails in place that would help deter unclaimed property fraud.
That is, until now.
Wisconsin Act 112, which I authored with Rep. Jerry O’Connor, imposes criminal charges and civil penalties on individuals who try to defraud the Unclaimed Property program.
By finally holding these fraudsters accountable, we will be able to better protect our residents from being swindled out of their hard-earned money.
Today we pay tribute to the courageous men &women who served our nation. Their bravery & sacrifice exemplify the very best of America.
Let us strive to be a nation worthy of their service, dedication, & sacrifices.
To all who have served, thank you, & may God bless you.
The Evers-Rodriguez Admin is decimating WI’s Agriculture industry!
DATCP is bypassing your elected representatives to increase livestock fees- one will see a $7,020 fee hike, a 1,669% INCREASE!
This would be catastrophic for our state.
It’s up to YOU to tell Evers & DATCP no.
Today the Assembly is in session to vote on bills that will help address the housing affordability crisis in Wisconsin. There is no silver bullet, but by tackling this issue from multiple different angles we can make progress.

Today, as we remember the 9/11 attacks, let us never forget the ones we lost and the first responders whose extraordinary bravery and sacrifice shine as a lasting example of honor, duty, and courage.
In the strongest terms, there is no space for political violence and justice must be served.
Join Luanne and I as we continue to pray for those close to Charlie.
May God be with Charlie Kirk’s wife, kids, and the rest of his family. Charlie died doing the thing that we all need to be doing to have a heathy democracy- talking to one another.
Political discourse and freedom of thought is a part of the bedrock of our nation. It is healthy to debate thought & no one should be in danger while doing so.
Please join me in praying for @charliekirk11, co-founder of @TPUSA, as he was shot today at an event in Utah.

CR25-004, from Evers' own DHS, replaces 'mother' and 'woman' with the terms 'pregnant member' or 'member', and 'father' with 'other parent'. These join the growing list of attempts by WI Democrats push their woke agenda.

🚨The Evers-Rodriguez Admin, emboldened by SCOWIS, is pushing dictatorial control through agencies.
Though they failed to erase mothers, fathers, & women from statute through the legislative process, they are now trying to force their agenda through administrative rule making.🚨
