It was great to visit the Farmersville Senior Center and connect with community members about issues impacting families across the San Joaquin Valley.
I enjoyed sharing my family’s origin story, hearing from local residents, and discussing the issues that matter most to our communities. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
During #RedRibbonWeek, we recognize the importance of drug prevention and education in keeping our children, families, and communities safe.
By raising awareness about the dangers of drug use and encouraging healthy choices, we can help build a safer, drug-free future for our youth across the San Joaquin Valley.
It was an honor to join our Hmong community at The Fresno Center to celebrate Hmong New Year and present a Congressional Certificate of Recognition in honor of this special occasion.

This week, my office received a suspicious letter containing a powdery substance. Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of our U.S. Postal Inspection Service, local law enforcement, and U.S. Capitol Police, my staff was safe and unharmed.
While the nature of this letter is still under forensic analysis, let me be clear: any attempts to instill fear and intimidation will not deter my dedicated staff and me from working for the people of our Valley.
No matter the circumstance, we remain committed to serving California’s 21st Congressional District. We will continue to work with law enforcement as the investigation continues.

I joined my colleagues in leading a bipartisan letter urging President Trump to fully enforce sanctions against Russia and cut off a major source of funding for Putin’s war against Ukraine.
As the war continues, the United States must increase pressure on Putin to take negotiations seriously and work toward a lasting peace.

I met with the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District to discuss ongoing efforts to improve air quality and protect public health across our Valley.
Clean air is essential to the health and well-being of our communities, and I’ll continue fighting for the resources needed to build a healthier San Joaquin Valley for future generations.
Our farmers, families, and communities depend on a reliable water supply, which is why I brought together federal, state, and local leaders yesterday for our second water meeting of the year to continue this important conversation.
Building on the more than $131 million in federal funding securement for Central Valley water infrastructure projects, I’ll continue working to deliver long-term water solutions for our Valley.
Yesterday, Team Costa joined the Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration at Fresno City Hall and presented a Congressional Certificate of Recognition in honor of the occasion.
The celebration featured cultural performances, land acknowledgments, and traditional blessings, honoring the rich history, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous peoples to our communities.
Team Costa also recognized Deborah Gilleran with a Congressional Certificate for her years of dedication to making this annual celebration possible
Yesterday, I was up bright and early for one of my favorite traditions, honoring our Valley heroes. 🇺🇸
I was proud to help send off Central Valley Honor Flight 36 as our Valley veterans began their journey to Washington, D.C.
These brave men and women have given so much to our country, and honoring their service is one small way to thank them for all they have done for our nation.
My thoughts are with Pope Leo XIV following his recent health diagnosis. I am encouraged to hear that his surgery was successful and wish him continued strength, comfort, and healing as he continues on his path to recovery.
May his faith continue to guide him, and may he find strength in the prayers and support of people throughout our Valley, nation, and world.

Today, I joined the Nisei Farmers League, Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer, and community leaders to address the fear and uncertainty surrounding immigration enforcement in our Valley.
Our farmworkers are not criminals. They are hardworking people who put food on America’s tables and are essential to our nation’s food security.
I’ll continue working across the aisle to advance bipartisan immigration reform that supports our hardworking farmworkers, strengthens our agricultural economy, and ensures America’s food security.
Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies are helping power America's energy future!
Today, I joined my colleagues in introducing a bipartisan resolution recognizing October 8 as National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day.
Investing in American innovation means strengthening our energy security, creating good-paying jobs, building a more reliable energy grid, and reducing emissions.
