Joe Solomon

Rhode Island State Representative; Chair of House Corporations Committee

[Joe Solomon @RepJoeSolomon]

Kim Ahern won last night. She ran a strong campaign and she's going to be the Democratic nominee for Attorney General. I'm asking everyone who voted for me to vote for her in November. She will work hard at this job and she'll need us.

My wife, Sarah, carried this campaign along with everything else she carries. She is my anchor, and none of this would have happened without her. I owe her a quiet fall, and probably a good deal more than that.

Our team inspired me every day, and everyone who touched this campaign brought heart to it. The police, fire and corrections officers of this state, the carpenters and electricians, the mayors and legislators and city committees who joined us, all of you took a chance on a guy from Warwick and stayed with it. Thank you. I can't pay that back.

But I can keep working. I owe this state more than I can repay, and finding ways to pay its people back is my life's work. And I hope the hundreds of thousands of Rhode Islanders who made their voices heard this year don't let their contribution stop at the ballot box.

Friend –

I'm Sarah, Joe's wife.

Today is Joe's birthday. He turns 43. I already know how he's going to spend it, because it's how he's spent every day since January — out the door early, at something somewhere in the state, on the phone the whole drive there.

The primary is Wednesday. He's going to have a celebration dinner tonight — and it'll be an hour before he's back on the phone, working to get every last vote before election day.

He's not going to make a birthday post, so I am.

Can we find 43 people to give $43 before midnight tonight?

One for every year. That's the only present I'm asking anyone to get him. And don’t forget to vote for my husband, Joe Solomon Jr., on Wednesday!

From the New England Extravaganza at the State House to the Hopkinton Dems for their Garden Party, getting all over the state takes effort and dedication. Becoming Attorney General is something I truly want but I couldn’t do it without all of your support. Thank you for the invitations and thank you for the words of encouragement! 11 more days!

Thank you Joe Buck for allowing me to be a sponsor again for the Roger Williams Project Reunion, can’t believe it’s the 13th Annual! It was awesome to see another Providence Park and the community together enjoying it. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and supportive of my campaign and my run for Attorney General of Rhode Island!
