Shelley and I were honored to join President Trump, members of his Cabinet, Tunnel to Towers Foundation Chairman and CEO Frank Siller, hundreds of first responders, and the families of those we lost on September 11th at the White House today for the final stop of Tunnel to Towers’ Steel Across America tour.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken from us, honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of our first responders, and reflect on the unity and resolve our nation showed in the days that followed.
I am honored to support Frank and the entire Tunnel to Towers Foundation in their incredible mission to support Gold Star families, catastrophically injured veterans, fallen first responders and their families, and so many American heroes who have sacrificed for our country and our communities.
Twenty-five years later, our promise remains the same: Never Forget. 🇺🇸
President Trump has been clear: the days of allowing our trading partners to take advantage of American workers, farmers, and manufacturers are over.
Secretary @howardlutnick and @USTradeRep Jamieson Greer negotiated in good faith with Canada right up to the 11th hour. Instead of addressing longstanding trade barriers and reaching a fair, reciprocal agreement, Canadian negotiators walked away.
The Trump administration is right to demand a level playing field. Canada has restricted American autos and maintained protectionist barriers against our dairy farmers and other U.S. exports. We should expect the same fair treatment from Canada that they expect from us.
Watch my interview on @FoxBusiness where I discuss the U.S.-Canada negotiations, today’s Tunnel to Towers event at the White House, and more. 🇺🇸
I had a great conversation this morning with @SecMullinDHS in Washington.
Under the leadership of @POTUS and Secretary Mullin, DHS has apprehended more than 1,900 known terrorists in our country illegally, many of whom entered under the Biden-Harris administration.
Thank you, Secretary Mullin, for your steadfast leadership and commitment to keeping our homeland safe, especially as we mark the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 this week.
The greatest economy in human history was built by millions of hardworking Americans dedicated to their work and their country.
Under the leadership of President Trump and Republicans in Congress, we’ve delivered tax relief for working Americans, including no tax on tips and no tax on overtime, while working to bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States.
This Labor Day, we recognize the American workers who fuel our economy, build our communities, and keep our country strong.
Happy Labor Day!
It was a pleasure to be at the Sullivan County Fair today with my friends @PATreasurer Stacy Garrity, County Commissioners Darlene Fenton and Brian Huffsman, Don Cicero, and everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities.
It was great to spend the day catching up with friends, discussing important local issues, and enjoying great food—including milkshakes. These events remind us of Pennsylvania’s best traditions and the communities that make our commonwealth such a great place to live.
Thank you to everyone who put on this fantastic event.
It was a pleasure to join the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce for the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of The Golden Kettle at Alvernia University’s Pottsville CollegeTowne. This is an amazing accomplishment for Stephen Smith and his team.
Stephen is bringing The Golden Kettle, a make-your-own mac and cheese restaurant, to life after winning the Launch Pottsville business competition. Organized by Pottsville Area Development Corporation, the program provides entrepreneurs with the guidance, mentorship, and resources needed to turn promising ideas into successful businesses while creating jobs and strengthening downtown Pottsville.
Our office secured $2 million in federal funding to help make Alvernia University’s Pottsville CollegeTowne a reality. It has been great to see what Alvernia has done with this investment, transforming a vacant former grocery store into a hub for education, entrepreneurship, and economic development. Now, with businesses like The Golden Kettle opening their doors here, we are seeing that investment continue to pay dividends by creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs, supporting new businesses, and contributing to the revitalization of downtown Pottsville.
I was glad to be joined by Senator Dave Argall, Commissioner Boots Hetherington, Commissioner Larry Padora, Commissioner Gary Hess, and many other great community leaders.
Congratulations to Stephen, and thank you to Bob Carl and his team at the Chamber, and to everyone who helped make this opening possible. Be sure to stop by and try one of The Golden Kettle’s signature build-your-own mac and cheese bowls!
The DSA and Abdul El-Sayed epitomize what the democrat party has become. It’s a socialist party, and there’s nothing democratic about socialism.
Just this week, 192 Democrats voted against a resolution condemning socialism, and all but eight Democrats voted to pack the Supreme Court.
Democrat leadership has condemned any member who showed courage and voted to condemn socialism. Watch my interview on @Newsmax where I discuss the state of the Democrat party.
I’ll be joining National Report at 9:15 AM to discuss the latest on the midterms and the House GOP’s efforts to combat socialism.
Make sure to tune in to @NEWSMAX
It shouldn’t be controversial to condemn socialism. However, yesterday, 192 Democrats voted against denouncing socialism and its policies.
Republicans want to grow the economy. Democrats want to grow the government. This vote made that perfectly clear. There is nothing democratic about being a socialist.
Under Chairman Hill’s leadership, the Financial Services Committee is advancing policies that strengthen capital formation, expand access to capital, and reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens.
At today’s @FinancialCmte hearing, I questioned financial and technology experts about regulatory certainty facing their industries, capital formation, the surge in U.S. IPO activity, and how the GENIUS Act is protecting consumers while encouraging digital asset innovation. Watch:
There’s nothing democratic about socialism. It replaces individual freedom and economic opportunity with government control and has failed wherever it has been tried.
Condemning socialism shouldn’t be a difficult vote. Every Member of Congress should be willing to make clear where they stand.
Today, I joined @Newsmax to discuss the upcoming House vote condemning socialism and the @HouseGOP’s legislative agenda for the next few weeks. Watch here 🔻🔻
I’ll be joining Bianca Across the Nation at 12:40 PM to discuss trade negotiations with Canada and how the House GOP is fighting the rise of socialism.
Make sure to tune in to @Newsmax.
Today, I joined Representative Robert Leadbeter and members of the Columbia County Farm Bureau for a tour of Bureau President Mark Schultz’s farm before sitting down with local farmers to hear directly about the challenges they’re facing.
We discussed the importance of passing the Farm Bill to help lower input costs and provide farmers with greater certainty, as well as addressing agriculture’s workforce challenges so producers have the reliable labor they need to keep their operations running.
I’ll continue working to advance policies that support our farmers, strengthen American agriculture, and ensure producers have the tools and certainty they need to keep feeding our nation.
Thank you @SecretaryWright for coming to Pennsylvania to emphasize the need to support our energy sector and all the American workers who rely on clean, beautiful coal for their livelihoods.
Coal helped build America, powering the factories, industries, and electric grid that made our nation an economic powerhouse. And coal remains essential today, providing roughly 20% of America’s electricity and delivering the reliable, affordable power our economy and communities depend on.
This morning, I joined @FoxBusiness to discuss @SecretaryWright’s visit to Pennsylvania coal country to show his support for Pennsylvania workers and clean, beautiful coal.
During the visit, Secretary Wright and @SBA_Kelly signed an agreement to bring more private investment to our energy infrastructure through Small Business Investment Companies.
Watch for more on the Secretary’s visit, the @HouseGOP’s legislative plan for next month, and more:
I'll be joining Wake Up America at 8:15 AM to discuss Secretary Chris Wright's visit to anthracite coal mining facilities in Pennsylvania and Federal Reserve Chairman Warsh's remarks tomorrow in Jackson Hole.
Make sure to tune in to @NEWSMAX
I’ll be joining Mornings with Maria at 7:10 AM to discuss the Great American Energy Comeback and the @HouseGOP’s legislative agenda heading into September.
