I was saddened to hear that my friend and colleague Sen. Hukill passed away. Sen. Hukill dedicated much of her life to public service and was a strong advocate for improving education in Florida. She will be dearly missed. My prayers are with the entire Hukill family.

SB7026 allocates over $97 million for school resource officers statewide & $8,065,012 for Broward County. As Broward County and our cities prepare their budgets, it is important that they also step up with funding to ensure our schools have enough SROs to protect our students.
