Choosing a life of service takes something special. 🇺🇸
Last night, students and families from across our community took an important step toward our nation’s U.S. Service Academies and learned more about the congressional nomination process through my office.
It is one of the great privileges of serving in Congress to help open that door for young people willing to lead, sacrifice, and serve our country.
Miami should be proud of them.
Thank you to American Legion Post 98 for hosting us and supporting the next generation of American leaders.
Three years ago today, the Jewish people suffered their deadliest day since the Holocaust.
We remember the innocent lives taken on October 7. We mourn with their families and honor the memory of every victim.
Three years later, we have not forgotten. We will not forget.
America stands with the Jewish people, with Israel, and against the evil of terrorism and antisemitism. 🇺🇸🇮🇱
Venezuela necesita libertad, no miedo.
Beijing is expanding its reach in our own backyard.
China is pouring hundreds of millions into Punta Huete, an airbase in Nicaragua capable of accommodating strategic bombers. A Chinese bomber operating from there could be in Washington, D.C in three hours.
So today, I asked the State Department directly: Are we concerned about this growing foothold in our hemisphere?
Because if we are, we have to stop it before it becomes permanent.
Shana Tova to all those celebrating Rosh Hashanah in South Florida and across our nation!
May this new year bring you and your loved ones peace, health, happiness, and many blessings.
Wishing the Jewish community a sweet and joyful New Year!
Big win for Key Biscayne today.
I joined Mayor Joe Rasco and local leaders to deliver more than $2.4 million in federal funding for two major projects, improving stormwater infrastructure around Key Biscayne K-8 and advancing a new offshore reef study to help fight erosion.
Safer streets. Stronger infrastructure. More Resilience. Smarter preparation for the future.
Proud to keep delivering for a community I call home. 🇺🇸
America is leading again in our own hemisphere.
Secretary Rubio’s visit to Colombia and @AbelardoPTE , followed by Ecuador and Peru, sends an important message: the United States is strengthening its partnerships with nations that want security, prosperity, democracy, and a stronger future for our region.
From fighting narcoterrorism to expanding trade and confronting malign foreign influence, the Western Hemisphere matters.
When America leads, our entire hemisphere is stronger.
I will always vote to condemn socialism, in every form and under every label.
That is why I voted yes today.
As the author of H.Con.Res. 58, I am glad this resolution adopts the core language of the measure I led through the House and adds a direct condemnation of the Democratic Socialists of America.
But it leaves out the history closest to home: Castro’s seizure of homes, farms, and businesses in Cuba, and the devastation of Venezuela under Chávez and Maduro.
Condemning socialism also means confronting what it has done in our own hemisphere. I will continue leading that fight with the full truth, Cuba and Venezuela included.
The U.S.-Venezuela oil deal is a great deal for the United States and the Venezuelan people.
For years, China took advantage of Venezuela’s weakness to buy its oil at deep discounts. Now America is stepping in, and American investment and influence offer Venezuela a path toward prosperity, stability, and security.
Delcy is the wrong person to make this deal with.
We want this deal to last 100 years. Only an administration backed by strong democratic institutions and the rule of law can guarantee that. This will only be possible with free elections.
Then, this deal can endure for generations to come. 🇺🇸🇻🇪
$4 billion in Venezuelan gold and Delcy Rodríguez is seeking control of it.
The question is what happens next. How do we make sure Venezuela’s wealth is protected and does not fall into the same corrupt hands that have plundered the country for years?
That’s what I asked the State Department today.
Venezuela’s wealth belongs to the Venezuelan people, not Delcy Rodríguez and her corrupt circle.
Today, I questioned Caleb Orr, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, about the oil money going to Venezuela and Delcy Rodríguez’s attempt to get her hands on $4 billion in Venezuelan gold.
Where is the money going? Where are the audits? And how are we making sure Venezuela’s wealth does not end up in the hands of the same people who have robbed the country for years?
More pressure. More accountability. No more impunity for the Cuban dictatorship. 🇨🇺
Today, the United States sanctioned 10 entities that finance the regime and help repress the Cuban people, including the Rapid Response Brigades and the Ministry of Tourism.
This is how you confront a dictatorship: target the machinery of repression and cut off the money that keeps it alive.
The Cuban people have paid the price for this regime long enough. Now, those who sustain it must pay a price too.

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau has devoted his career to serving the United States with honor, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the values that make our nation exceptional.
A distinguished lawyer and diplomat, he has earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike through his intellect, his decency, and his quiet strength. Above all, he is a gentleman, a man of principle whose character has never depended on the office he holds.
America is fortunate to have leaders of his caliber representing our nation.
