My favorite part of campaign season…watching candidates claim that they led on wins that they absolutely did not 🙃🙃
For example, legislators that are claiming they led on repealing the 1864 abortion ban but were actually working to get members to not support a clean repeal. Maybe that’s what should be on their mailers 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
We are calling on Arizona University Presidents and the Board of Regents to reconsider the overly harsh academic consequences that have been brought down on student protestors and allies which undermine the principles of academic freedom and free speech.
AZ Republicans have introduced an elections striker bill for tomorrow morning.
It would end early voting/early voting drop-offs on the Friday before election day (except for at recorder's offices) and require on-site tabulation during early voting.

$120 Billion in US funds invested in Arizona thanks to @POTUS bipartisan Infrastructure law. Now AZ Republicans want to kill Arizona’s economy with HCR2060 (SB1070 2.0) a discriminatory & bad for business law. HCR2060 will drive businesses out of Arizona. Stop the hate!
NOW GOP Sen. Ken Bennett says he's a 'no' on #HCR2060 if changes aren't made. Opposes amendment targeting #DACA recipients. Bennett's 'no' could defeat resolution. Resolution would let AZ voters decide whether local cops can arrest border crossers.

Phoenix- The Arizona Supreme Court has stayed the enforcement of Arizona’s territorial era abortion law through Aug. 12 to give AG Mayes time to potentially file a petition for certiorari in SCOTUS. Background here: https://t.co/4KcZGYaEAs
Laura Clement from Mormon Women for Ethical Government teaches English as a second language to immigrants. HCR2060 “allows a police officer to make a judgement on whether a person looks like an immigrant or not, sounds like an immigrant or not, and to stop and detain them. This has negative consequences on all our communities.” @mormonweg
I will continue to hold town halls to hear from people all across our state — because that’s what I was elected to do — and what every public servant should do. #LawyerForThePeople
“The decision to get an abortion, or seek any type of reproductive healthcare belongs on the hands of patients, their families and their providers, not politicians.” Assistant Democratic Leader @os_delossantos before we head to floor to once again move to repeal Arizona’s cruel and archaic 1864 total abortion ban. We just need one more Republican with courage to match the wishes of the vast majority of Arizonans.
“Republicans don't want this, Independents don't want this, Democrats don't want this…”
MUST WATCH: Senator @EvaBurchAZ—a lawmaker, mother, and nurse practitioner—expressed just how dangerous and outrageous this total ban on abortion is for every Arizonan. This moment will be remembered. #azleg
“May his passion for a more sustainable and equitable Arizona live on.” @QuantaForAZ pays tribute to AZ Black Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Robin Reed, who passed away in February at the age of 62. In addition to his extensive business career, Reed voiced Franklin in the 1973 film A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
“It’s like making a locally owned burger joint spend their revenue to send their customers… to the place down the street where they don’t even have to tell you what’s in their food.” In the last Education hearing of the session, Rep. @JudyForAZ has had it up to here with anti-public school bills like SB1583, which would force public schools to market ESA vouchers.
Our partnership with RIP Medical Debt will eliminate medical debt for up to one million Arizonans.
I look forward to delivering this relief so the only thing Arizonans have to worry about after treatment is getting healthy and home to their families.
Trump-allied Republicans in Arizona have blocked a bill to protect birth control access, with one Republican leader arguing that women should instead “put [aspirin] between your knees”
