Thank you to @RepRhondaBaker and Rep. Nollan for asking @srebeducation to present on the need for a unified vision for the workforce and student discipline. @crowe_meagan and I were honored to present to our Oklahoma legislators. We are so proud to support our SREB states.
The El Reno Coffee Connection was at Ft. Reno this morning. This is a historical jewel in HD 60! Congratulations to the businesses that were honored for their work in the community. The Ft. Reno employees were up at 4:30 a.m. this morning preparing campfire biscuits and coffee.
I had the distinct honor of standing alongside the family members of Francine Frost as Governor Stitt signed “Francine’s Law” into statute. Working with the AG’s office, Medical Examiners, NAMUS data base colleagues, and Senator Julie Daniels was a tremendous experience.
It was an eventful day in Canadian County! The El Reno Chamber partnered with Redlands Community College to host a legislative breakfast. Then the Canadian County Chambers of Commerce hosted Governor Stitt for a legislative summary and luncheon.
It is amazing to see the resiliency of the residents of El Reno and their ability to come together in times of need. The pictures detail the devastation of the tornado, however they cannot detail the strength and love the people have for this community.
I was proud to present Mr. Ronnie Funck of El Reno as Veteran of the Week in the House today. As we approach Memorial Day, it is particularly poignant to me to recognize a veteran who has devoted so much of his life to our nation. Thank you, Mr. Funck for your service!
"We've made a promise to our teachers and to our constituencies that we will address this problem and no longer be at the bottom." — @RepRhondaBaker discussing her preference to require a $1,200 #teacher pay raise across the board. https://t.co/JyVXiWbZgl #oklaed#okleg
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our Oklahoma educators! Your dedication to inspiring and investing in our future generations deserves our recognition every day. Thank you for helping to move our state forward. #OklaEd
Burger Day in El Reno is one of the highlights of the year! Great food, community support and fun activities make it a success. I got to help Brooke Robertson emcee this year and she does a fantastic job!
Yesterday, the Governor signed my HB2640 aka “Francine’s Law” into law! Proud of this piece of legislation that will aid families in searching for their missing loved ones.
The Galloping for Hope barn party celebrating the Savannah Station Therapeutic Riding Program was a huge success! I’m proud to support an organization that works so hard for our young men and women.
Henry Kimball from Hinton served as my page this week. He plans to be an Aeronautical Engineer. It was great working with Henry throughout the week, and I know he has a very bright future!
One of the events I look forward to most each year is the Oklahoma Youth Expo Legislative Showmanship. This year I was paired with Kammie Stehr from the El Reno FFA Chapter, and got to show her heifer, Pudding. We may not have won grand champion, but we sure had a lot of fun!
@GOPHouseOK @FHQ1989 @msosu89 @RepSheilaDills @Conley4House @TammyWestOK@DeniseCH50 @carolbush61 Thank you! It is an honor to get to serve alongside such outstanding women.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all of the women of the House Republican Caucus! We are so thankful for their leadership and hard work to move our state forward.
