Georgia’s First Lady Marty Kemp held our 6th Annual Pet Adoption Day at the Governor’s Mansion. We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the Mansion’s grounds with “Pickles” and rescues from shelters across the state.
Representative Cooper on her visit to Emory University’s Addiction Center to see Georgia’s first Narcan and Fentanyl Detection Strips Vending Machine. Located in an out of the way area, students are able to access these life saving medications free and in privacy.
Today Delta, Race Trac, UPS and the Attorney General’s office sponsored a meeting for prosecutors, law enforcement, legislators and volunteer groups on their work in fighting sex trafficking in GEORGIA and what needs to be done to expand their successful programs.
The ARTHUR M. BLANK HOSPITAL, opening at the end of this month, is certainly designed for children to heal not only their bodies but their spirits too.
Memorial Day weekend should start a “Holiday of Thankfulness.” Since our country’s beginning almost 250 years ago, 1.5 million Americans have given their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy and unfortunately so often take for granted. Have a safe and thankful Memorial Day 🇺🇸
It was great to catch up with Matt Towery and see so many friends last night to celebrate Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry as he was honored as JAMES Magazine Online's 2024 Most Influential Georgian.
Today’s Behavioral Health Legislative Panel hosted by Commissioner Lisa Cupid, Guest Speaker Kim Jones from NAMI and Panel Moderator with legislators on panel. Kim and Senator Kay and I talked about the very successful session we had…the passage of 19 mental health bills.
