The Bohemian Blueprint 🔴⚫
Did you know the Bohs 1976 FAI Cup winning side was the first sponsored kit in Ireland and Britain?
And that pioneering nature has continued into 2026!
The reason Bohs can tell these stories is the ground they tell them from. Dalymount Park, the old home of Irish football, was also the cultural heart of the city.
Years before Croke Park, Marlay Park or the Phoenix Park, Dalymount was the only major venue in Dublin hosting outdoor concerts.
Thin Lizzy headlined Dublin’s first major open air rock festival there on 21 August 1977, the day after Phil Lynott’s 28th birthday, with the Boomtown Rats and the Radiators From Space on the bill. Three years later, on 6 July 1980, Bob Marley played his last ever outdoor concert on the same pitch.
Decades later, the club started turning that heritage into shirts. And they did it with purpose.
It began in 2018 with a Bob Marley away kit. Pre-orders flew in from 45 countries and Marley’s son called it “the dopest shirt I’ve ever seen”, before the image rights collapsed and it was scrapped. They replaced his face with a clenched fist. The idea never died.
In 2020 they put “Refugees Welcome” across the front in place of a sponsor, partnered with Amnesty International, with a fleeing family on the body and “Love Football, Hate Racism” on the collar. It sold in 23 countries.
2021 brought Fontaines D.C. and Focus Ireland, 15% of profits going to tackle homelessness. In 2022 they landed the Bob Marley shirt properly, working with the Marley family directly, 10% of profits buying instruments and equipment for asylum seekers in Ireland.
For 2024 they honoured that Thin Lizzy gig with black rose artwork by Jim Fitzpatrick, funding music education for disadvantaged Dublin kids. Then 2025, Fontaines D.C. again, 30% of profits going to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
Every shirt a story. Every release a purpose.
Where so many clubs are hollow brands, soulless crests and corporate spin with no real connection to the people they claim to represent, Bohemian FC are the antidote.
They know who they are, where they come from, and what they stand for.
And they wear it, quite literally, on their sleeves. 🔴⚫
I’ve really enjoyed watching Aaron Ochoa’s performance so far - obviously a player with huge potential, but perhaps the most impressive aspect of his game is the confidence he possesses at just 19.
Despite his excellent technical ability, what stands out most is how much responsibility he takes on. He’s always demanding the ball, always looking to make things happen and never hides, regardless of the occasion.
Aaron Ochoa starts for Málaga tonight in the first leg of their promotion play-off semi-final away to Las Palmas! 🇮🇪
It’s a huge occasion for the Ireland U21 international, who is missing the camp in Croatia due to the playoffs and now finds himself just three games away from potentially reaching La Liga.
For many Irish fans, this could also be the first opportunity to watch Ochoa live in club action, with the game being shown live on Premier Sports at 8pm.

Ireland had some bright moments against Canada, but there were still plenty of concerns despite the positive result.
McGrath, Abankwah and a number of the substitutes injected energy into the game when it was badly needed.
Who was your pick for man of the match? 💬

Jaden Umeh's difficult night against Canada says more about the system than the player.
Playing in an unfamiliar role, feeding off scraps and rarely getting the ball where he wanted it, it was always going to be tough for a technical player who thrives with possession.
Another outstanding performance from Jamie Mullins for Ireland U21s in their draw with Croatia.
The midfielder was arguably the best player on the pitch and, as he has been throughout the campaign, looked a class above at times. Technically superb, constantly receiving the ball on the half-turn, comfortable on both feet and always looking to make things happen in possession.
An absolute joy to watch and a player who has a huge future in green.
It finishes all square between Ireland U21s and Croatia!
Jim Crawford’s men done well to fight back from behind twice with Sam Curtis and Sean Grehan getting on the scoresheet. A positive result against a side that look certs to qualify for the Euros - Devaney and Mullins were excellent.
Sean Grehan makes up for his own goal by equalising for Ireland with ten to play.
No surprise that it was from a Jamie Mullins corner who done excellently to win the corner also. Such a joy to watch
Level at the break between Ireland 21s and Croatia.
Croatia took an early lead from the penalty spot but Ireland responded well with Sam Curtis scoring a fine goal.
