When a home-secured financial instrument fails, it impacts the homeowner, and also the community. Yesterday, the House passed bipartisan legislation from me, Rep Twardzik, and @RepLPowell to protect homeowners from predatory lending practices involving shared equity agreements.

Bladder cancer is a surprisingly common form of cancer, which is why I attended the @BladderCancerUS annual Walk to End Bladder Cancer at North Park this morning. We need to raise awareness of this deadly, but treatable disease and support funding for research.

Today is World Multiple Sclerosis Day. As a physician, I have seen how debilitating this condition can be. I am committed to making sure that those who suffer from MS have access to the healthcare they need to live fulfilling and productive lives.
