France returns 3,500 artifacts to Ethiopia.
The artefacts, excavated from the Melka Kunture site near Addis Ababa, date back 1 to 2 million years and were studied under a long-standing Franco-Ethiopian archaeology agreement.

After they stole several artifacts from Africa, they decided to tell you that Africans had no civilization, but those artifacts are making millions for them in their museums.

When Deaccessioned Art and Antiquities Have Nowhere to Go
It's a problem well-meaning museums can face when they seek to repatriate art or artifacts that don't have sufficient documentation.

the Easter Island ecocide theory promoted by Jared Diamond, which suggests that the islanders chopped down palm trees at an unsustainable rate causing population decline by the time of European arrival, was wrong.

Did you know?
"Today, more than 40,000 objects from Cameroon are kept in public museums in the Federal Republic of Germany. This is the largest stock worldwide. Since the German colonial period 1886-1916, they have been stored in the storerooms of institutions that kept them, virtually unpublished and unknown".
Mind-blowing right?
We can go on and on, but then what is the way forward?
More details on this statistics can be obtained in "Atlas of Absence, Cameroon's Cultural Heritage in Germany".
There is an urgent need to redefining Africa and claiming her heritage.

The quest for restitution and repatriation of African heritages from German Museums is being dragged into a prolonged political debate.
Most of our cultural heritages were taken without any procedure nor legal steps; times have changed, but unfortunately, their values and meaning will never change.
It is only just for museums willing and ready return to have the support of different states in accelerating the process and not stalling it.
We therefore call on all stakeholders to play their role promptly.

We have a question for @GermanyDiplo
Will you be restituting what communities are asking for?
What museums are willing and ready to offer?
OR
What the government of Cameroon is asking for?
We are receiving incredible feedback from our Web of Plunder project that is acquiring heritage and restituting back to communities and families of origin. Thanks to our friend Marc Sabastien.
More and more communities are reaching out to us.
We cannot do this without your support. We have started a fundraiser on GoFundMe to help with acquisition, storage and restitution processes.
Every dollar, euro you give to us, brings our heritage one step closer to home…and together, we will make this happen!
Thanks to our friend Marc for organizing this.
