@joeltelling @3dpNero It will be great to welcome you at our shop, Joel! We are still a small bunch, but we are friendly, enthusiastic and serious about what we do. You’ll have fun here!

@LocalmakerM If you live in Detroit, close to the border, you can come to our shop in Windsor and we will show you how to navigate the firmware update. We don’t have a palette device but I’m sure our boys can figure it out too. Send me a pm if you’re interested.
@joeltelling@josefprusa Nothing benefits the 3D printing community and the 3D printing consumer more than the Open Source movement. I don't know what 3D Printing (or Prusa) would be today, without RepRap.
@josefprusa If you developed your product from scratch, it is OK to patent or protect it however you want. If you used open source to develop it, keeping it closed is unfair - you have to find a viable business model while keeping the product open.
@PistonPin VERY cool! I love it. Did you glue the tube on the nut groove, or is it just staying there by friction? I'll try to make a small one using 1.75 nylon/TPU filament instead of teflon tube.
@3dpNero We extruded PP (one of the main ingredients of TPO) and made filament of it with and without elastomers blended. We tried to print it and it warps like crazy - not good... You can bring a handful to our shop and we can extrude it into filament to try it out.
@3dpNero CNC routing. It complements 3D printing nicely… I can lend you our Shapeoko if you have room for it - we don’t use it for now… Let me know if you need it.
