On July 10, 1941, the Jewish residents of Jedwabne were forced into a barn and burned alive by their own Polish neighbors during the Nazi occupation. It's a dark chapter, and one we should not run from.

That's why I'm deeply troubled to see 85 years later the memorial for this atrocity being turned into a site of revisionism that dishonors the victims. That's unacceptable. I’m calling on Poland's leaders to show up for this year's commemoration and protect the site that keeps their memory alive.

At a time when Holocaust denial continues to rise, we cannot let the truth of what happened get buried.

Two wins for @CoralSpringsFL! I’m proud to have secured $1,092,000 to modernize the city’s aging water treatment plant so families keep the safe, reliable drinking water they depend on.

On top of that, we were once again able to deliver another $800,000 for the Everglades Memorial Loop, a multi-use trail that opens up safe walking and biking while connecting residents to the extraordinary landscape right in our backyard.

Wilton Manors is known around the world as a welcoming and inclusive community, and everyone who lives and gathers here deserves to feel safe.

A railroad crossing is not just a piece of infrastructure. It connects neighborhoods, and for too long, Boca Raton has been disconnected because of the downed Jeffery Street crossing.

I was proud to fix this by delivering $2M to Boca Raton to rebuild the crossing and reconnect these neighborhoods. As Boca's partner in Washington, I'm committed to investing in the infrastructure we rely on every day.

When Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, few could have imagined only years earlier that such a bill was possible. With the stroke of a pen, the end of legal segregation was written into law, moving us closer to the founding promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.

The work it took to reach that moment spanned decades, if not centuries, carried by those who marched, organized, and refused to accept injustice as permanent. Progress is never guaranteed. It has to be defended in every generation.

At a time when basic rights are being questioned and rolled back, this anniversary is a reminder that the freedoms we share were never given freely. They were won, and they have to be protected.

Hospital ships are designed to hold up to 1,000 patient beds and have dozens of fully equipped operating rooms. Details matter in emergency management. The Navy hospital ships can make a real difference.
