#WATCH | Delhi | Lieutenant Colonel Anuj Singh who served as the Commanding Officer of the Indian Army’s 48-member Engineer Task Force (ETF) during Operation Sagar Bandhu says, "The Engineer Task Force from the Strike One Sappers, Northern Command of Indian Army was inducted on the war footing in the aftermath of the devastating Cyclone Ditwah that has struck the island nation of the Sri Lanka. The important mandate that was conveyed to the engineer task force on reaching there by the Sri Lankan authorities was the restoration of the vital lines of the communications. The important task undertaken by the engineer task force in conjunction with the Sri Lankan authorities and Sri Lankan army engineers was restoration of the vital lines of communication by constructing the seven different bridges at strategically located places of Kilinochi, Kandy, Badula and Chilau...One important aspect that we have taken into consideration was to deliver the strategically important line of the communication at the earliest because the local population and the people were severely affected. We have carried out the work in the compressed timeline with the help of the new generation equipments and the resources that we have carried along with us in the C-17 Globemasters aircraft and with the assistance from the Sri Lankan Army engineers and the Sri Lankan authorities, the engineer task force has successfully completed all their assigned tasks..."
#WATCH | Delhi | Ladakh-based climate activist Sonam Wangchuk says, “Yesterday we had a meeting at the Home Ministry, which was attended by members of Kargil Democratic Alliance and Leh Apex Body… We talked about some new beginnings and a step in it. Ladakh has always demanded safeguards under Article 244, 6th Schedule of the Constitution, and statehood. The government proposed to grant similar safeguards under Article 371, which cannot be implemented without an elected Assembly… Right now, Ladakh does not have that much revenue to pay for the government employees. So, we then proposed to have an Assembly which is not statehood but works at Ladakh’s level till we achieve the revenue. People will get elected and have the power to make laws for Ladakh… There was only a proposal and no decision was taken as we need to work on its details… Earlier, all the bureaucracy was under the LG, but now it will be under the person who gets elected by the people, which was what was decided yesterday… I would say the work is still in progress.”

A press conference video is being circulated across media and social media platforms with an attempt to malign the image of the #IndianArmy.
It is reiterated that the individuals seen in the video, namely Chandu Chavan, Harendra Yadav and P Narender, were dismissed from service on grounds of indiscipline and unsoldierly conduct. The fourth individual, Shankar Singh Gujjar, is a deserter and disciplinary proceedings are undergoing against him in both military and civil courts.
These individuals are deliberately spreading fake, malicious and misleading narratives on social media to divert attention from their own misconduct and dismissal from service. Citizens are advised not to fall prey to such propaganda and to remain vigilant against misinformation. (1/2)

#WATCH | Delhi: On the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam, Advocate Tanvi Dubey says, "This petition was filed through the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), under Article 32 in the Supreme Court. The main focus is that the NEET UG paper leaked... Our major demand is that NTA should be dissolved, and an independent court-appointed committee should be formed by the Supreme Court for the conduct of the NEET-UG examination to ensure that such systemic failures are not repeated... We have also prayed that a high-power committee should be appointed by the court, which should monitor the functioning of the body which will conduct the examination, and to ensure that this entire process is transparent. The immediate relief which we have placed in the petition is that this exam will be conducted in a few months or maybe a few weeks..."
#WATCH | Delhi: On the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam, Advocate Satyam Singh Rajput says, "This is not the first time that paper leaks have occurred in matters concerning NEET. Whether we look at the years 2015, 2016, 2021, 2024, and ever since the National Testing Agency (NTA) came into existence, we have witnessed a continuous pattern of such incidents, be it in NEET PG or NEET UG examinations. I think its name should be changed from National Testing Agency to National Tampering Agency... The NTA's objective was to conduct examinations in a more rigorous and stringent manner. However, ever since the NTA entered the picture in 2017, instances of fraud have only escalated further..."
#WATCH | Noida, Uttar Pradesh: On Operation Sindoor's first anniversary, Air Marshal (Retd) Sanjeev Kapoor says, "... It's a proud day today. One year has gone by, and the world has seen Indian armed forces, and especially the Air Force, using weapons from standoff distances. And not only that, we used weapons which did not cause any collateral damage of any sort. If you see the pictures when we hit the terrorist targets on the 7th of May last year, the domes and the other structures had just a precise hole. It did not cause any damage to the civilian property nearby. So, being a responsible nation, India exhibited its prowess by just picking up those targets.
The BrahMos, especially which India has manufactured, was a game changer on the 10th morning, wherein we struck 11 airfields of Pakistan in 45 minutes precisely, and we brought them to the table for a ceasefire..."
#WATCH | Delhi | On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Maj. Gen. Dhruv C Katoch (Retd.) says, “...many significant changes have taken place since then. I think the most significant change is really in the way we look at terrorism and how we react to terrorist acts. I think a very clear message has been sent that there will be zero tolerance to any act of terror on Indian soil… The political change and the military alignment are very significant as we look back at what happened a year ago. Just to recount, the attack took place in Pahalgam last year on 22 April… In response, the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force carried out a specific operation on the night of 6-7 May last year in which 9 terrorist camps were destroyed… Now, the message was very clear that there will be zero tolerance for terror… Since then, not one civilian has died in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir to date… I think it gives pride to every soldier the way this operation was conducted by the man in uniform… The message that was conveyed was that India has the capacity, capability and the political will to execute any operation to defend its territorial integrity.”
#WATCH | Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak says, "Since yesterday, television channels have been reporting that two FIRs have been filed against me in Punjab. I have yet to receive any formal or informal information about these FIRs. Since yesterday, I've been waiting to receive a copy of the FIRs so I can respond. I don't have any information about the FIRs yet. It's possible that if an FIR has been filed after misusing government machinery, I'll be able to fully respond only after seeing it. Everyone who knows me, everyone who has worked with me, whether volunteers or leaders, knows well that I am a person who follows principles and righteousness. As long as I worked in the Aam Aadmi Party, I worked according to principles and righteousness. Today, I am in the Bharatiya Janata Party. I will continue to work according to principles and righteousness. Success or failure in politics does not matter to me. I have to ensure that, even if I fail, I never break my political dharma. I didn't leave the Aam Aadmi Party for any personal reasons. I did this because of long-standing differences in ideology and work style..."
#WATCH Delhi: On the MCD Mayor election, Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal says, "MCD is very crucial for Delhi's development. As long as the AAP government was in power in Delhi, they had left it in a terrible state. Now, MCD and the Delhi government need to work together. Arvind Kejriwal has not fielded any candidate of his own. What kind of politics is this... They should have faith in democracy. They know they will lose the election but they should still contest it."
#WATCH | Delhi: Speaking about action against a major arms syndicate, Delhi Police Special Cell's Additional CP Pramod Singh Kushwaha, says, "9 people have been arrested. 23 weapons have been recovered... and 92 cartridges have been recovered. The entire syndicate was run by a declared criminal named Shahbaz Ansari, who had become famous in the Sidhu Moosewala case; he was caught and then escaped abroad. Along with him is his uncle Rehan Ansari, who is sitting somewhere in the Middle East. Dubai is its suspected location. These two together run the syndicate. These weapons come from 2 places—one via drones in Punjab and from Nepal..."

#WATCH | Gurugram, Haryana: On any possible impact of controversies on public trust in the armed forces, former Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane (Retd) says, "I think the confidence that the Indian armed forces have and the respect that has always been given by our people far surpasses the kind of negativity that very small issues could generate...I always keep saying, 'Bharatiya Sena, Bharat ki sena'...They, in turn, give us that love and respect which makes us strong and enables us to stand on the border and guard our people."
