And before Arsenal fans start typing, this isn’t an argument that Saka is a bad player. He’s one of the best young attackers in Europe and has already produced consistently at the highest level.

But when you remove age, hype and potential from the conversation, I don’t think the answer is as obvious as people make it sound.

Phil Foden has already shown that he can carry an attack, score from different positions, create chances, operate between the lines and decide important matches.

Saka has his own advantages. His consistency, ball progression and ability to create from the right are exceptional.

But Foden’s technical quality and versatility give him a completely different argument.

And that’s where this debate becomes interesting.

If both players were entering their prime tomorrow and you had to build your attack around ONE of them, I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if more managers chose Foden.

Saka might eventually become the better player.

I’m just not convinced he’s there yet.
