The irony is the pivot you flagged at the end. They hate AI slop in public feeds, so they retreat to group chats with real friends. The tool that was supposed to connect everyone ended up being the reason they log off. Honestly that might be the healthiest reaction any generation has had to new tech in decades.

@sudoingX Frontier models have overshot the need for many tasks. The narrative that everyone should be using it only helps the big companies. Models are tools, we should all be sizing our tools for our needs. You've got a great example here.

I've watched frontier AI costs climb all year, and it's not even close to done. The gap between what the labs charge and what a solo dev can run is getting absurd. Question I keep sitting with: where does the price land in two years, and does 'AI for everyone' survive that curve?

Dynamic pricing is the polite name for price discrimination. The airline doesn't price the seat, it prices the person. Device, location, search history, loyalty tier. The data that's supposed to be your privacy is the input to your overcharge. Now multiple states are drafting bills to ban it. That's what it looks like when the margin is real.
