Pastor Poju said something today that struck deep
“Many of you are carrying the identity that people give to you — and you are going to God with that identity,” He said.
Think about that for a moment.
We've spent years collecting “narratives” from family, from failures, from people who were closest to us in the flesh. And Pastor Poju was clear: "The closer people are to you in the flesh, the more difficult they are with you in the spirit."
So whose voice are you carrying into your prayer life? Here's what the teaching settled in:
✅ "It's your spirit that got born again, not your flesh."
✅ "There can be no improvement upon the perfection of a new man in Christ."
✅ "The new man does not have a colour."
That last one is worth sitting with. Your spiritual identity has no tribe, no ethnicity, no past. It only has authority.
And that authority is activated by declaration, not silence.
"You don't get free from addiction by walking away from it, but by continuous declaration in a subtle way."
This is why Pastor said, “Have a continuous confession of your identity. Have a confession of your supremacy over Satan.”
Because it's not enough to know who you are theoretically. You have to build it.
"Your spiritual strength and your spiritual growth is directly proportional to the amount of time you spent alone."
"The majority of Christians don't know how to build strength."
And strength matters, because:
"It's your identity that really counts when you get to spiritual warfare."
"Losers cannot change anything. It's only winners that can change things."
Let me leave you with the two questions from today's teaching. Write them somewhere:
❓ “Which identity are you conscious of?”
❓ “Which identity are you constantly affirming?”
“It's what you choose to be identified with that matters."
The kingdom of God is not in democracy, it's about your identity. Choose wisely. Confess boldly.

i honestly can’t wrap my head around it. if God put this much order into the smallest parts of creation, what makes you think He would leave you completely on your own?
“My coming in front of the camera was an accident. I was a writer. They pressured me to come in front of the camera because I was making people laugh behind the camera.”

I was born with sickle cell disease.
I had Crisis after crisis, constant pain, multiple organ damage by age 28. Doctors said I wouldn’t see 35.
During one brutal episode, I prayed like never before while hooked up to morphine. The pain vanished overnight.
Follow up tests showed my hemoglobin was normal. No sickle cells. Geneticists ran every test, markers for the disease had disappeared. I haven’t had a crisis in 4 years.
My hematologist calls me the walking miracle file.
You have to believe that there is God.
I fell in love with this scripture:
“There will come a time when your tears will fall, not because of your troubles, but because God has answered your prayers.”

There is something powerful about The Bible when you don’t just read Psalm 23… but you pray it.
Many people read scriptures, but few turn them into conversations with God. Psalm 23 is not just a chapter — it is a prayer pattern.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…”
Father, I declare today that You are my Shepherd. I surrender my life to Your leadership. Guide me in every decision, in every step I take. I refuse to lack because You are my source. Provide for me according to Your will — not my selfish desires, but Your perfect plan for my life.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters…”
Lord, bring me into Your rest. Silence every anxiety, every pressure, every confusion in my mind. Lead me away from chaos and into Your peace. Teach me to trust You even when I don’t understand.
“He restores my soul…”
Father, restore me. Heal every place where I am tired, broken, or discouraged. Where I have lost strength, breathe life again. Renew my mind, my emotions, and my spirit.
“He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake…”
Lord, align me with Your will. Help me to walk in righteousness — not according to my feelings, but according to Your Word. Let my life bring glory to Your name.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…”
Father, even in difficult seasons, I will not fear. I declare that You are with me. Every valley I face, I walk through it with confidence because Your presence surrounds me.
“Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me…”
Lord, correct me where I am wrong. Discipline me in love and keep me on the right path. Let Your guidance be my comfort, not my resistance.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…”
Father, honor me in the places where I have been opposed. Let Your favor speak for me. Even in the presence of those who doubt me, show Yourself strong in my life.
“You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over…”
Lord, anoint me afresh. Let my life overflow with Your grace, Your power, and Your blessings — not just for me, but for everyone connected to me.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”
I declare today that goodness and mercy are following me — not occasionally, but daily. Everywhere I go, I carry evidence of Your presence.
“And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Father, keep me in Your presence. Let my heart never drift away from You. I choose a life that is rooted in You, both now and forever.
This is how you pray Psalm 23:
You don’t just read it — you personalize it, declare it, and align it with God’s will.
Remember: not every prayer is about asking for things. Some prayers are about surrender, alignment, and trust.
Pray the Word… and watch your life begin to reflect it.
Amen.
I attended a meeting hosted by Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai. When he came in, he sang a song and laughed. Then he said, “God will touch 400 people here and now,” and I was stunned.
I thought to myself, “The atmosphere is still dry, how will God touch 400 people?” To my surprise, he added, “The reason I give a number is because if I don’t, we won’t be able to control it.”
At that point, I even began to pray for him so he wouldn’t embarrass himself. Then he said, “Thank You, Jesus,” and right before my eyes, people began to fall. I was amazed, thinking, “What is this?”
That was when I realised that there's a difference between the anointing you feel, that moves in a meeting and a man who carries a sceptre of authority in the Spirit.
The day I finally met Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, I came with so much fire and excitement. I dropped the seed I brought to honor him, expecting an impartation immediately. But he looked at me and said, “Sit down. Do you think you’re the first I’ve seen? I’ve been here for over 60 years.”
Then he asked me, “How much is your library?” That question exposed me—I realized I had never even taken stock of my own library. In that moment, I understood why these men are where they are.
He then said, “My library is worth fifty-five million naira.”
50 million what? You know what that means?
He had forgotten the shoes he bought and the clothes he owned, but he knew the value of his library. He said, “If you want to lead your generation, go and read. Don’t just buy books—read them.”

There’s a level of intentionality these men live with—an intentionality that is deliberate and deeply rooted in purpose. They are not driven by appearance or momentary impressions, but by a consistent pursuit of depth, knowledge, and spiritual authority. Their lives reflect years of investment in what cannot be seen on the outside but is evident in the authority they carry.
They prioritize growth over comfort and substance over recognition. This is why they can stand with confidence, because behind the scenes, they have built capacity through the Word, thorough learning, and dogged pursuit of purpose.
