Our partner @faircount has done a great job fighting for fair maps with their "Mapping Mondays" events, generating 400 community maps which can be found at https://t.co/g4bT9pEpM4!
We are still fighting for fair maps under our Gold Dome and still working to eradicate vote share gaps in Black, LatinX, and Native communities in Georgia and beyond. We are grateful for you – our partners, supportive friends + amazing team for making it all possible. 4/4
Communities play a critical role in fair districting, if used properly and effectively. This week @princetongerry@CarnegieMellon authors and I put final touches on how to merge law, math, & tech to supercharge the process. https://t.co/RkiZD34Vbt

Community of interest maps provide us w/a chance to tell our own stories + share concerns w/policy makers. Without this, someone else may define our communities for us in ways that impact our ability to be heard.
We need your voice.

Check out our 2021 Year in Review! We're proud of what Representable has accomplished over the past year, and are thankful for all the support we've received!
Some COI "fast facts" as public comment starts in VA:
- 166 COIs in #Virginia were submitted to Representable
- It's the state with the 5th most COIs on the website!
- Our partners @LWVVA, @1VA2021, and @thenbnro led the push to collect COIs in the state
- All three maps from the special masters show improvement in all four metrics that we used to evaluate how the maps respect COIs
- For example, the special masters' House of Delegates plan splits 26 less COIs (collected on Representable) than the 2018 plan
The Congressional map released by the special masters, based in part on COIs from https://t.co/Xat8kbKZt5, was graded an overall "A" by our friends @princetongerry! https://t.co/jg5eIZG8cU
Virginia's special masters for redistricting referenced your maps in their memo to the state's Supreme Court. With your help, we're making districts more fair and representative! Check out the memo here: https://t.co/d6xDFEWMUO
We at Representable are happy to see that the community maps we've collected are already being used in redistricting! Check out this memo from VA's special masters for redistricting: https://t.co/d6xDFEWMUO
@Jenna___W@faircount Hi Jenna! Representable is a national organization, working with groups around the country to collect communities maps. Feel free to check out more resources at https://t.co/uU6CgEZpJi or contact us at [email protected] with any questions or suggestions!
.@faircount has done a fantastic job of helping Georgians stand up for their communities' interests with Mapping Mondays and more, and we at Representable are proud to have contributed our community mapping tool to that effort!
"We’ve held almost 80 events showing folks how to testify, to submit their own community maps, and to speak up for how their community should be represented."

It's true! Our Community of Interest maps are a great way to understand how fair and representative redistricting could work. Check them out for every state at https://t.co/MkykB7mrRU
For a better idea of what a nearly non-partisan, more equally distributed political district COULD look like I would suggest you check out @Representable_

Happy #Thanksgiving from Representable! While many families gather together to carve turkeys today, we can't let legislators carve up communities and undermine their interests! Map your community today at https://t.co/Xat8kbtoBx to help prevent gerrymandering.
"It is my hope that the Redistricting process will not unfairly divide my community so as to make it ineffective towards choosing its representatives."
