Great turnout to watch @DavidOlusoga Black and British BBC series today during lunchtime and to watch his lecture in Manchester yesterday. This is the beginning of a weekly focus on Black History. @ReptonAbuDhabi #BlackHistory#BlackHistoryMonth
A couple of displays going up around @ReptonAbuDhabi inspired by @susie_dent excellent book Word Perfect. Students can learn the origins of words in the English language -a new word each week. Do you have a word you'd like to explore? @SLuptonRAD@ReptonADSenior@ReptonADEnglish
9D's home learning is exceptional. Lots of fascinating stories to show the truly global nature of the First World War. We are very impressed with the effort shown by our Reptonians. Great job! @ReptonADSenior@SLuptonRAD@ReptonADSLT @ReptonAbuDhabi #WW1
Excellent effort from 9A today in their personal study. They've given the First World War a global perspective with their independent research tasks. We cannot wait to see what the other Y9 groups produce. Well done! @ReptonADSLT@SLuptonRAD@ReptonADSenior#historyteacher
Challenge is at the heart of our curriculum. Today, our A Level Geographers tackled a 60 mark question by breaking down the question and ensuring they met the criteria needed to achieve full marks. Great effort and collaboration! #RAD@ReptonADSenior@SLuptonRAD @ReptonAbuDhabi
As the culmination of our humanities project on North America, we hosted a stall in the atrium to share all of our learning about Cuba! There was lots to do with quizzes, a photo booth, dominoes table, games and VR zone. Great teamwork Pearls! @ReptonADYr4 @ReptonAbuDhabi #Cuba
We had an excellent tour around @SorbonneAD today. Students thoroughly enjoyed! It was great to hear our Year 9 and Year 10 Reptonians talk about their future university ambitions. Thank you @ReptonADMFL for organising. #RAD@SLuptonRAD@ReptonADSLT
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Repton School in 1957. Her Majesty can also trace her family tree back to Repton School's founder, Sir John Port, who opened the school in 1557.
As the UK and Commonwealth celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, we thought we'd do a thread on the interesting facts about Queen Elizabeth II...#PlatinumJubilee#RAD
Her Majesty's first radio broadcast was in 1940. This was to the children of the Commonwealth, many of them living away from home due to the war.
'And when peace comes, remember it will be for us, the children of today, to make the world of tomorrow a better and happier place'.
Outstanding projects handed in this week on our 'Age of Reform' scheme of work. They range from the Suffragettes to Public Health and Law and Order reform. We are impressed with the effort Year 8 Reptonians have put into these. #historyteacher#RAD@ReptonADSLT @ReptonAbuDhabi
We are excited to be back in our own classrooms! The History displays are up and we can't wait to showcase more of our Reptonian's work around the room. #historyteacher#RAD@ReptonADHistory@ReptonADSLT
Excellent talk by Robert Blair Jackson from @NYUAbuDhabi His presentation to our Year 9 students on the Bronze Age Boat Project was fascinating. Students had lots of interesting questions at the end. Thank you. @ReptonAbuDhabi @ReptonADSLT#heritage#culture#UAE
