Apparently a lot of the songs' lyrics got a lot of negative attention when I searched while typing this, with lots of constructive feedback being brushed off, so somehow I'm not crazy this time. The actual instrumentals were decent, but then you get random singing.
Oh well. 🤷‍♂️

I heard there was an OC ReMix album for Final Fantasy VIII and got excited.
It's so many discs of... "music".
I listened track by track, and couldn't find anything good. Most have cringe lyrics added in for no reason that detract from the song.

I might sound like Simon Cowell here, but the lyrics seemed like a mix between AI-generated scripts read by real people in some songs, and very uncharacteristic character acting in others when they were "themes" for a character.
Dreadful album. FF8 deserves better. 😬
